Why are you applying for Medical Consultant?:
I have thoroughly enjoyed my time in the medical department thus far. The roleplaying and the community is very welcoming and accommodating, and I would like the opportunity to become more involved and take on a bigger role in the medical roleplay situations.
At this point, I feel like I have a strong understanding of the responsibilities and knowledge expected of a Senior Doctor, and becoming a Consultant would allow me to build on that experience more and contribute more to the medical department.

-
What makes you suitable for Medical Consultant?:
I am someone who enjoys helping others, and being in a position where I can further help them (like with getting their Medical license and Combat Medic whitelist) by teaching them the basics and being around to answer questions they may have would be good!
I am also a very active Senior Doctor and I spend almost all my time on the medical team when online.

Please explain an in-game medical procedure of your choice:

Psychological Evaluation

Before beginning any part of the evaluation, I would first find out why they are there and whether they came willingly or were required to attend. I make sure that they're comfortable and let them know this is a safe space where they can speak openly, making it clear that I am not there to judge or criticize them, but to understand what they are going through and do what I can to help.

After gathering some basic information, I would start by asking a few general questions to get a better idea of how they are doing, asking about their beliefs, medical and mental health history, relationships, sleep, daily life, and anything else that could be affecting them.

Throughout the evaluation, I would stay patient and non-judgmental and let the patient explain how they feel in their own words. Their answers would help determine what areas may need more attention, while I take notes on their overall state of mind. From there, we could discuss possible treatments or medications that would best suit their individual needs. While sending them off, I always make sure to give them some words of encouragement and a chocolate bar to make them feel better.

Please give some lore about your Medical Consultant character and what storylines they would be involved in:

Sage Fuller was born on ███████ in █████, Canada. She grew up in a relatively quiet rural town and developed an interest in medicine from a young age. She had always been curious about how the human mind and body worked, especially when it came to medications and chemicals. As she got older, this interest developed into a fascination with pharmacology, toxicology, and the way different substances could affect a person's body and behavior. After finishing her education, she went into the medical field and eventually became a doctor.

Sage spent several years working at a small rural hospital, where she treated a wide variety of patients. Due to the hospital being fairly isolated and having limited resources, she often had to rely on her own knowledge and research when dealing with unusual cases. She became particularly interested in patients whose behavior seemed to change due to certain medications, chemicals, or unexplained afflictions. She was known to spend extra time looking into cases that other doctors had difficulty explaining, more out of curiosity than anything else.

One patient would eventually change the course of Sage's career. They were admitted with unusual symptoms that could not be explained by any known condition. While their physical symptoms were strange, it was their behavior that caught Sage's attention. Their personality and mannerisms would change drastically under seemingly insignificant circumstances. Sage spent weeks documenting their symptoms and looking for patterns, eventually noticing things that the other doctors had overlooked.

The case eventually caught the Foundation's attention. Sage was questioned about the patient and the research she had conducted. Rather than being frightened by what she was told, she became fascinated by the idea that there were things medicine alone could not explain. After reviewing her work, the Foundation offered Sage a position. Intrigued by what she had seen and wanting to understand more, she accepted - seeing it as an opportunity to further her medical career while working with cases and phenomena that would never appear under normal circumstances.
