- Yes, I do.
- I currently do not and have not possessed any whitelisted, MTF, or CI roles.
- I have zero kicks/bans/warns as of the time of making this application.
- I am applying for Medical Consultant as I believe it will be a fun next step to take in the server. I've played around a bit and have gotten to Level 63 as of typing up this application, and have determined that Medical is one of the more fun things I enjoy doing as I personally am not the biggest fan of combative roles and much prefer more supportive roles. I believe I have gained the experience needed to properly help the department within a leadership role as well as properly train and mentor newer members of the department.
- I would say that the experienced I have gained as a Senior Doctor as well as a Combat Medic have given me the proficiency within the department needed to be a competent Medical Consultant. While gaining more time as a Senior Doctor, I was also notified of a competency checklist listing things that Medical Consultants should know how to do before applying. As of writing this application, I have: hosted a Medical License Tryout under the supervision of two Medical Consultants, hosted a psychological evaluation on a member of General Security, as well as hosted a physical evaluation on a Combat Medic. The only thing yet I have yet to completed is assisting with a surgery, as unfortunately those are completely dependent on chance and others wanting to take the time to roleplay it out. I wanted to go ahead and post this application while I continue to get that final piece completed.
- When selecting a medical procedure in-game, the one I will explain is the most common one often given by the Medical Personnel of Site-65, which would be ECT. ECT, otherwise known as Electroconvulsive Therapy, is an in-game treatment that can fix many mental and physical maladies. Many mental issues and sometimes physical that come as a result of anomalous testing can be fixed with proper utilization of the Electroconvulsive Therapy Administrator machine located within Medbay. An afflicted individual would enter Medbay and the explain the issue they are undergoing. In the event of their particular malady being an authorized issue that can be fixed with the help of ECT, they would be escorted back to the machine. Verification of the patient's consent would be received by the Doctor operating the ECT machine and the patient would lay down on the machine. An instruction to try and get comfortable and to not look into the light would be given before the machine's activation. Following the completion of treatment, verification that the patient is okay would be done, and additional medical treatment would be given if the patient is injured still.
- Medical Consultants are members of medical leadership and are tasked with ensuring the medical staff within Site-65 are following proper protocol, as well as doing more clerical tasks such as hosting Medical License Tryouts and properly training new Combat Medics. They are also responsible for approving and overseeing more advanced surgical operations that may need to occur within Medbay, while at the same time they can act as valuable guides and mentors for better teaching newer and even more experienced Doctors/Trainees how to better succeed at their roles.
- Richard had a fascination of medicine for as long as he could remember. Going through his life, from early schooling to when he completed his residency, he continued to have a wonderful curiosity of the human body. Growing within his field, he eventually felt himself being burned out by the healthcare system, seeing flaws in it and wishing he could do more to help those around him. After expressing this to a few of his friends, days later he'd one day come home to a blank business card in his pocket, having only a phone number. Giving it a dial, the rest would be history. Richard is heavily invested in helping others as well as is competent with what is commonly wrong with the human body. Rising up within the medical branch of Site-65, he'd work to continue training in new fields and learning how to better help the various people across the foundation.
