Please give some lore about your Medical Consultant character and what storylines they would be involved in:
-
Dr. Kai Ner was only 27 years old, born and raised in Germany, when the army pulled him out of his hospital job and dropped him straight into a warzone. Before that, he was just a normal doctor — the type who stayed late even when no one asked him to, because he truly belived every single life had value. The battlefield destroyed that belief much faster than he ever thought it would.
He worked in dirty tents with almost no sleep, surgery after surgery, while explosions shook the ground around him. Soldiers started calling him a miracle doctor, but he never felt like one. Just exhausted. Always exhausted.
When the military promoted him to Head Field Marshal of Medical Operations, he tried to feel proud. For a brief moment, he thought maybe he could actually make things better — safer — for the medics and the soldiers under him.
Then came the valley operation. The one that broke him.
He warned Command that civilians were still there, that the area couldnt be evacuated in time, that the whole plan was going to end badly. They didn’t listen. They told him to “adapt,” which really just meant “stop asking questions.”
The attack turned into chaos almost immediatly. Civilians running in panic, wounded soldiers piled on top of each other, and Dr. Kai Ner working with shaking hands for more than twenty-four hours without rest. When it was finally over, Command sent a message calling the losses “acceptable.” That was the moment he knew he couldn’t trust them anymore. Couldn’t trust the uniform either.
After that, he slowly stopped following orders the way he was supposed to. He hid civilians, falsified reports, kept soldiers away from suicide missions, and rerouted supplies to places Command ignored. Small things at first — but every one of them made him feel human again.
Eventually, he knew he had to disappear. One night, he packed a small bag — just his medkit, a few tools, and his old gloves — and left without saying goodbye. Now he survives as a rogue medic, helping anyone he comes across: refugees, deserters, villages trapped in crossfire, even enemy fighters if they’re bleeding out.
People whisper about him like he’s some kind of ghost doctor moving through the ruins.
He doesn’t care about names, ranks, or glory.
