Why are you applying for Executive Researcher?

- I am applying to be an Executive Researcher because I want to take a more active role in RSD. Throughout my time in research, I have dedicated a lot of my time to SCP behavioral studies, such as my excellent graded document SCP-082 Soccer Research Study. As well, a current study I'm working on SCP-8837 Emotional and Behavioral Response.
During that time, I have developed a strong understanding of how research should be conducted, documented, and presented.
I am also interested in mentoring new researchers. When I first joined the department, I benefited from the guidance of a more experienced researcher, and I would like to give that same guidance to others. Whether that involves helping researchers improve their documentation or understanding of Foundation procedures and SCP’s. I believe Executive Researchers should play an active role in developing the next generation of researchers.
Ultimately, I am applying because I care about the Research Department and want to contribute to its continued growth and participating in broader group studies.

What makes you suitable for Executive Researcher?:

- I am suitable for Executive Researcher because of my dedication to the department, my experience as a Senior Researcher, and my commitment to maintaining high standard documentation and professionalism in research.
Throughout my time in the department, I have gained experience conducting research studies, creating documentation, and working alongside personnel from multiple departments. This knowledge has allowed me to develop a strong understanding of cooperation between departments, professional documentation, and conducting studies following site policies.
I have also demonstrated my ability to produce quality studies by earning an excellent-graded research document. While I currently only have one excellent graded document, I view that achievement as proof that I understand the level of detail, professionalism, and effort expected from an excellent graded document. I am currently in the process of finalizing another research study before testing. I aim to ensure that all of my research studies consistently meet the standards of detail, organization, and professionalism required for an excellent evaluation. I also aim for my studies to be engaging with all parties involved.
In addition, I believe Executive Researchers should be approachable, professional, and willing to help others. I maintain those qualities whenever interacting with other personnel and would continue to do so if given the opportunity to serve as an Executive Researcher. My goal would not simply be to oversee research activities, but to help improve the quality of research being conducted and documentation, overall improving the Researcher.

How many excellent-graded documents have you written? What makes a document excellent?

- I currently have one excellent-graded document.
An excellent document is more than just a detailed report. It should be organized, professional, and clearly communicate the purpose, methodology, observations, and conclusions of the research being conducted. A reader should be able to understand why the experiment was performed, what occurred during testing, and what conclusions can be drawn from the results.
An excellent document should also demonstrate strong attention to detail and maintain a professional writing style. Proper grammar, formatting, and structure are important because they allow information to be presented clearly and effectively. Additionally, the research itself should have value by exploring meaningful questions and providing useful information that contributes to the Foundation's understanding of anomalies.
Most importantly, an excellent document should transform observations into conclusions. Rather than simply describing what happened during a test, it should explain why the results are important and how they expand our understanding of the subject being studied.

What are the responsibilities of the Executive Researcher in RP?:

-Executive Researchers are responsible for helping researchers improve their understanding of experimental and ethical standards, documentation, and departmental expectations when testing and studying.
An Executive Researcher should be available and active to answer questions, provide guidance, and help newer researchers develop the skills necessary to conduct meaningful research.
In addition, an Executive Researcher is expected to coordinate with other departments, when necessary, assist with larger research operations, and serve as role models within the department. They should lead by example through professionalism, activity, and a commitment to maintaining high standards for both research and roleplay.

Please give some lore about your Executive Researcher character and what storylines they would be involved in:

While growing up poor in a town less than 5 thousand. Darwin was lucky to have the high grades he did throughout school. When it was time for college, he knew he never stood a chance to get a good education while being from a poor family. He tested his luck one day and applied for The Fostering Independence for Higher Education Grant (FIG) with help from his superiors, recommendation letters he was accepted

Dr. Darwin Buttersworth joined the Foundation after completing his education in the scientific field and demonstrating strong analytical and research skills. After being recruited into the Foundation, he began working as a researcher and gradually advanced through the department by conducting studies, writing documentation, and assisting with research projects.
Over time, Dr. Buttersworth developed a strong interest in studying SCPs and understanding how anomalies interact with both personnel and their environment. His goal is to expand the Foundation's knowledge through careful observation, experimentation, and documentation.
