Why are you applying for Director of External Affairs?
I am applying for the rank of Director of External Affairs, as throughout my time as Manager within the Department of External Affairs, I have spent many hours understanding and adapting to the way External Affairs works. I also find playing External Affairs a genuinely fun and enjoyable experience as I am able to interact and collaborate with many other Departments and GOIs. I would also like to see how my ideas for the Department will affect the Department.

I am applying for the rank of Director of External Affairs, as throughout my time as Manager within the Department of External Affairs, I have spent many hours understanding and adapting to the way External Affairs works. I also find playing External Affairs a genuinely fun and enjoyable experience as I am able to interact and collaborate with many other Departments and GOIs. I would also like to see how my ideas for the Department will affect the Department.
What makes you suitable for Director of External Affairs?:
Leadership
Throughout my time within the community, I have achieved the rank of DEA Manager, CI-C BCOM, and E-11 LT and being able to hold these ranks has allowed me to gradually improve my leadership skills through coordinating raids and SCP breaches. With this in mind, I possess a strong leadership mindset that will enable me to excel in the role of Director of External Affairs. Giving those new and below your rank the chance to build on their roleplay skills is a key ingredient for holding the rank of Department of External Affairs. Always being there for the Department, answering questions, giving feedback and wanting to improve the Department is what every Director should be doing.
Experience
Although I may not have been a manager for long, I have held a CL4 position within the Department of External Affairs for over three months. I have been in External Affairs for around a year. The three months that I have committed to achieving higher ranks in External Affairs have taught me how to properly manage and lead the entire Department of External Affairs. Being on the server for two years has helped me to understand right and wrong in different serious and crucial situations.
Roleplay
Being a senior CL4 in the Chaos Insurgency and E-11 has allowed me to interact with many different roleplay situations. Being able to interact with many different roleplay situations has given me the opportunity to improve on how to participate and lead roleplay situations, and help lower ranks to improve their roleplay skills, as well. Being able to take the lead and create roleplay situations is essential for a Director in any Department. Within the three months that I have committed to achieving higher ranks, I have adapted to the unexpected roleplay that is bound to happen while playing any External Affairs job.

The Director is responsible for making sure everyone is maintaining their standards. The Director is responsible for promoting anyone in External Affairs from a senior agent to a manager. The Director has the final say, so each promotion is well earned and fair.
Relations
The director of External Affairs should be keeping everyone in the Site updated on any changes to relations, ensuring there is strong communications with other Departments so that any sensitive information gathered by External Affairs is passed on to the correct parties. The Director should also be responsible for leading meetings with other GOIs, they should also allow lower ranks to participate, which will allow them to develop their roleplay skills. After seeing anyone in the Department participate in roleplay, the Director should encourage them and help out where needed.
