Why are you applying for Internal Security Inspector?:
  • I’ve played SCP for the last few weeks, maining primarily ISD. (memories of RMP) I’ve seen sadly a large amount of discontent for ISD, I hope in moving up in this department I can start to influence the change I see required to the department and to work closely with our colleagues to a create and set a better standard of not only ISD personnel but hopefully throughout the site. I've been asked to submit an application by a considerable amount of ISD personnel (Past directors included) and so have thought the best way to further not only involvement with ISD but to enable further assistance within ISD is to submit this application.
What makes you suitable for Internal Security Inspector?:
  • I do not have previous experience on this server within Civil Networks, however I do have previous experience in running large departments consisting of far greater numbers. (GRMS Hersh - MRP) Thus, providing crucial leadership experience and knowledge which I can use to assist other ISD personnel in furthering their own learning and development to ensure they’re also effective leaders. Furthermore from this experience and my time immersing within ISD I’ve been able to control multiple high risk, sensitive incidents on the site.
Lastly ISD situations can produce quite an intense, stressful situations, especially when dealing with emotive topics. Through my time in leading past investigations on SCP-UK and (MRP) it’s allowed me to understand how best to approach scenarios when the pressure is on.
What do you think describes an ideal Internal Security Inspector?:
  • The perfect Inspector is that of a typical Line Manager, you need to have consistent interactions, catch-ups with the people you manage (Investigators and Operatives) providing that much crucial guidance, wellbeing but most importantly leadership. You also need to have managerial experience in doing administrative tasks ensuring your department (Roster, policies, handbooks and so forth) are fit for purpose and updated.
  • In terms of investigations, interactions on site you need to have a keen sense of curiosity to investigate, an open-mindedness into different scenarios and importantly be approachable, persuasive but able to be stern and commanding when a situation requires.
How many major, roleplay-serving documents have you written? What makes a document of this nature good in terms of quality?:
  • I’ve actually written quite a few documents in my weeks playing on SCP-UK. The documents typically have consisted of arrest and/or incident reports. However, the major documents I see of importance (And without giving much away) have resulted in tribunals for said CL4 personnel along with operations being activated into said personnel.
  • In terms of what makes a document ‘good’ it’s a document which captures key, specific details of an incident allowing further site personnel to become involved and furthering a native (Roleplay scenario) and allowing for a record for something which can be later relied on or noted.
What are the responsibilities of the Internal Security Inspector in RP?:
  • The responsibilities of any Inspector within ISD is to ensure the daily work of its investigators and operatives are efficient and without problem. This could be done through communications, assisting with an arrest, dealing with queries or conducting L&D (training) for the personnel. Due to Inspectors typically being more hands-on with the lower ranking personnel, I’d also expect Inspectors to be having daily stand-ups with the active personnel to have a sitrep, from here I’d expect Inspectors to be tasking all available ISD personnel into ‘troublesome’ areas for observations. Furthermore, you’re also the first port of call within Chain of Command for an escalation and hence should be the first line of any queries being asked by ISD personnel or other foundation personnel with a problem with ISD members.

Please elaborate on why you think you'd be a good leadership position holder for Internal Security:
  • As already stated, I’ve served in senior positions, running departments (in MRP) and have a considerable amount of leadership knowledge and experience. I am very familiar with documents and policies and so can look to assist the soon to be appointed Directors of ISD into revamping if necessary handbooks and policies. I am able to control a crowd and deescalate a situation if required, I’m able to hold myself when challenged by personnel of the site and able to explain (With evidence) why a situation has occurred and what’s going to occur because of it. Even though I can be stern when needed, I do believe I’m quite an approachable person and I’m also willing to assist and help people who have a genuine desire to learn and develop themselves, be that ISD or any other foundation member.
Please give some lore about your Internal Security Inspector character and what storylines they would be involved in:
  • Hersh AKA. Hersh Jr who he is known within his family is the son of Hersh Sr. AKA. Hershberger. Hersh Sr. was a 5-Star General in the military and parted much wisdom and guidance onto Hersh Jr. before disappearing many years ago. Hersh Jr. has ever since wanted to follow in his footsteps and rise to the level of respect (Or infamous depending on how people remember him) his father held. Hersh Jr. after being approached and joining the foundation decided to follow his fathers footsteps in working in ‘law’ enforcement, joining up to the Internal Security Department. Joining the department he has found himself slipping into the ways of how his father parented him - Harsh yet fair and wants to break free of that serious nature from his family. Hersh Jr. is ambitious and has his eyes on the more senior positions within the foundation and will do what is necessary in order to further himself and the friends he is loyal to.
  • Hersh Jr. on joining the site has had run-ins with an anomalous ‘witch’ (?) and believes the Director of Medicine is complicit in this person attempting to murder him. He will do what is required to ensure that doesn’t happen.

I agree with what was stated by Maxo. While you do some decent RP, it's also the type of RP that has caused ISD to spiral into such a bad position in the first place. I'd like to see you follow in the steps of the current Commissioners in learning to de-escalate situations, rather than resorting to the constant abuse of power portrayed by some previous ISD members.

I recall one instance where myself and the O-1 LTCOM reported a techie to which an operative refused to even investigate due to lack of bodycam. You then butted into the conversation to which we all ended up taking names to pass on complaints. 10 minutes later I reported the same techie which you saw following me (Given you did not see him do what I was reporting) but instead of investigating just went "Oh, NOW you need my help? All I see is him walking into PW bathrooms" without really listening to me explain or attempt to investigate... If you're refusing to do your job purely becausey you didn't witness something, how can you expect to be an Inspector?

Also, in every single RP interaction I've had with you where I have reciprocated the same attitude as you yourself present to others, you have constantly taken it into /looc. Including one interaction where an O5 was speaking with you, and I stated something about you being quite rude, to which you decided to for some reason take to looc to say you don't even know me?
