Why are you applying for Security Captain?:
I love D-block and GSD I think its an amazing place and community. The community in GSD one of the best I’ve seen and I love being apart of and I'd love to build up the GSD community as much as I can. I love helping newer players to GSD. Due to most new players starting off as a GSD Cadet and also helping lot of other lesser experienced personnel that need assistance and that is why I'd love to be Captain again. I'm also applying to to help fix and show someone with my reputation can be a Captain. And finally I want to help fix relations with other departments that me and other GSD have caused.

What makes you suitable for Security Captain?:
I have been in GSD for a while now 2 years it'll be 3 years this summer, so I know and known many of the captains, officers and guards amongst D-block. I know I have a shit reputation outside of GSD which is the best its ever been right now and I'm trying to change. For the past few weeks I've been on my best behaviour except I did get arrested a little bit one was a flase arrest and I also love helping new GSD like Cadets or anyone doesn't know what do to. This is why I’d love to become a Captain and improve my reputation outside of GSD even more by showing that I can be a Captain angain. If given the chance to be Captain again I'll be more careful in the treason RP I take part in even if I'm not leading it and I'll act better.

What are the responsibilities of the Security Captain in RP?:
The responsibilities of a GSD Captain are:
•Guaranteeing D-block has a suitable number of personnel.
•Hosting RCL and HWL tryouts.
•Organising or delegating sweeps during mass D-class riots.
•Seeking out potential candidates for sergeant and conducting the interview.
•Giving work permits to trusted D-class and assigning these D-class with a viable escort.
•Using appropriate firing formations for SCP breaches or CI raids that are threatening D-block
•Leading sweeps around LCZ or delegating sweeps to officers/sergeants.
•Maintaining order in D-block.
•Improving relations with other departments.

Please give some lore about your Security Captain character and what storylines they would be involved in:
Before joining the SCP Foundation Bob MacDiarmada served as a mall security guard in the The Square in Tallaght. Known for his overzealous dedication to keeping food courts peaceful and stopping teens from loitering near the arcade, Bob developed a reputation for being "too committed" to a job nobody else cared about.
Later he became a D-Class after running over a family of 4 while being drunk after being cought he was sent to Site 65. When he became a Cadet he got his call sign 'Irishpotato' from his heritage and because he only eats potatoes. While he was a Guard he tried wrestling a reality bending SCP into submission he failed and hed to be revived and that's why he says ''Bob never dies''. It took him 2 years of being an Officer to get SGT. while he was an Officer he used to play hot potato with himself despite being able to tank a grenade and he's illiterate.
 
I'm not very confident of you becoming a Captain again. I'll break it down below:

In game conduct: While you had a bit of a good streak as a Captain previously, it kept getting ruined / tarnished by your actions such as minging almost everyday, getting arrested around 9+ times a week, not setting a good example for other Gensec, and overall acting very unprofessional of a CL4.

Carrying out responsibilities of a Captain: I will be quite honest, I don't believe I've actually seen you take control of d-block or even carry out the basic responsibilities of a Captain, or even give Gensec a good reputation. If anything you actually were slowly destroying their reputation over time by just minging on a day to day basis which is disappointing to see.

Sergeant actions: As you are currently a Sergeant, I've yet again see you carry on to minge in a group with people on Sergeant and of course on other roles, this doesn't give me much hope you have changed or turned over a new leaf. You have said many times you have stopped minging, but around a few days later you will just go back to how you act, I've seen this countless times.

I'm sorry but until you are able to work on the areas needed I'm not confident that you would improve Gensec, please take this as feedback.

I personally believe you had a good run as Captain before, whilst also having your moments that let it down. Since then though, you have kept with GSD and ontop of that have gone on to break the mould of most in GSD and interact with people all over the site. I have seen you create RP, involved in situations and all together been a refreshing person to have around.|

I reckon you have learnt from your mistakes and if/when you get the Captain role again, you would flourish with it. I truly think you have gone above and beyond in proving you are worth a second shot.
 
Absolute legend I'll break it down below:

IC actions and conduct:

As a friend of Irishpotato, i'm quite familiar with his conduct, mainly his recent conduct (past few months). Although most know him for his mingy past and refuse to update themselves on his new conduct, some (like myself) have educated ourselves on his new conduct upon achieving Sergeant and Captain and I believe his conduct is not wrong whatsoever, infact i believe it's healthy for the server.

To me, RP on this server has 2 extremes. Extreme RP with incredible character design and refusal to break character and treat this like a job and the other side with absolutely 0 RP and pure combat (CI). Irishpotato is a perfect middle balance to this. He allows himself to RP and have a cool iconic character without taking it too seriously and prioritising fun (on a game) over prioritising extreme strictness and immersion. He fucks around, yeah, but he doesn't go out of his way to spite people and will 100% stop fucking around if you ask him to. He'll do his job in d-block and does a really good job, without compromising the fact that this is a game you're meant to have fun in. A perfect balance, a perfect fit for a leadership role as a guide for newer players.

In his past, yeah he was a pure minge and he was constantly punished for it. But he changed for the server and for these opportunities. His past shouldn't reflect on his present because he's changed to take this seriously. I mean he got sergeant then captain in the space of a couple months. He's doing brilliant in the present and should be treated as such.

Another thing I should add is his LOYALTY. Damn is this legend loyal to GSD. People might not like how he prioritises GSD over everyone else as captain, but it's what CL4s SHOULD do. They should prioritise their department over all other people because they're LEADING this department. A sergeant with a squad would prioritise the survival of their squad over the survival of some other squad every single time. This guy LOVES GSD and that is a PERFECT trait of a captain.

Another amazing part of his conduct is how he treats sergeants as equals instead of like senior response units. He'll give orders, as he should, but he'd never be rude or strict to a sergeant. Moreso, it's as simple as if you're nice to him and respect him, he'll give you back that kindness and respect ten fold.

And I must say, in general, his issues with ISD has basically been demolished. He doesn't like ISD, but neither does almost all of GSD. His arrests used to be through the roof, multiple times a day. But now it's more like once a week, or once a MONTH. Hell he gets arrested less than me, and I've been sergeant for a year now. The people who accuse him of getting arrested a ton either are just ASSUMING (which is quite rude and slander) or are basing it on his past (and which I GUESS i understand? But he's changed, you'd be living under a rock if you don't realise that). Check his arrest records and you'd be impressed to find out its less frequent than half the server.


OOC actions and conduct:

IC, this guy is awesome, but he's even better OOC. I talk to him almost everyday on discord, and he's such a nice person to talk to. Always there and always reliable. Never once has he been a prick to me, ever. If you like him IC you will love him OOC. He's a perfect friend as well as a perfect captain.


Overall, say what you want, but you can't deny the fact that he's changed because he wants to improve for the SERVER, to get better at RP and to be a better dude. He's a perfect fit for captain, i'd honestly be shocked if he gets denied. Be friends with him for 5 minutes and don't be his enemy cause he doesn't treat the server like a job and you'll fucking love him.

Bob absolutely has his moments of being.. well bob but he absolutely has a passion for GSD and knows that department inside and out, I have complete confidence in him running D Block and in him carrying out his duties. This man is dedicated
