What will you do to stop this from happening again: To prevent future incidents, I plan to better understand how IC interactions can be perceived to be baiting/harassment. I’ll take more care in avoiding situations that might be seen as baiting or harassment, even if my intentions are strictly roleplay related. I’ll also make sure to avoid unnecessary staff reports and focus on maintaining a respectful and fun RP for both staff and players.
Why should you be unbanned: From my understanding after speaking with Frances, the situation that led to the ban grew from a clip shared by another player which gave the impression that a person in the situation was baiting a report and this made it look like we all were. Even though this was never my intention, I completely understand how it could have looked that way. I was simply trying to have some in character fun and didn’t mean for it to escalate into staff issues.
I acknowledge that opening multiple sits earlier in the day was excessive, and I take responsibility for that. However during the specific incident in question, I disengaged once O1 came out and it became a serious situation, I dont know why I was punished for something I disengaged from and wasn't even contributing to calling the sit or baiting.. I’ve learned from this experience and will ensure all future RP intentions will not be to attempt to bait, harass or ruin RP for anyone else.
