Why are you applying for Medical Consultant?
Well. Personally i have always looked into applying for a actual Junior CL4 role and not a assistant. And ive always looked into medical as something to go for after i leave Site Admin. For the RP and otherwise also how Medical's state currently is. So simplified i am applying to get a more grasp of RP on medicals side, being able to conduct it. Allowing for me to have more interactions as i would be able to have affect in my departments policies and others as part of MLT.
What makes you suitable for Medical Consultant?:
What makes me suitable? Well, even though I may have just returned to the server a bit ago, I still believe I have the RP skills to conduct medical duties such as surgeries and other related tasks. I've played medic a lot, both as Site Admin and now. During my medical time, I've had the chance to engage in extensive medical RP. As a Site Advisor and Assistant, in both CL4 roles, I've had the opportunity to participate in a lot of medical RP. This includes experiences like being poisoned with mercury and RP'ing it out, having surgery to remove a bullet from my chest after being shot by a CI, and undergoing an RP surgery for my hand being replaced as well! With my RP skills, previous experience, and how well-known I am in the server, I believe I would make a good consultant.
Please explain an in-game medical procedure of your choice:
First, a Nu-7 marksman has reported in on comms that he is badly injured after being shot in the hand, resulting in a fractured bone and significant bleeding. I would ask his fellow soldiers to apply an emergency bandage around it. Afterward, I would request them to carry the marksman alongside them to medical, where I would begin my surgery to remove the bullet. I would first administer anesthesia to put him under for the duration of the procedure. Then, I would start the surgery by ensuring the area isn't bleeding excessively so that the bandage can be removed. Afterward, I would disinfect the area, then use surgical pins, hoping to successfully remove the bullet. I wouldn't forget the broken bone, which I would assist by applying some medical calcium for it to hopefully start healing. Afterward, I would disinfect the area of the hand again and stitch it up. Finally, I would apply a bandage around the hand, suggesting that after he wakes up, he takes things a bit easier and does not return to combat immediately.
What are the responsibilities of the Medical Consultant in RP?:
Medical Consultants in RP are there to oversee and manage the medical department when they are the highest authority on-site. They take care of patients, order senior doctors and combat medics to conduct psych evaluations or other medical tasks, and handle departmental relations. They assist trainees in advancing to the rank of doctor and conduct regular Clearance 4 duties. They take orders from their directors or Site Administration/FCOM. Additionally, they frequently deal with incidents of AO being compromised and needing treatment, as they often can be Class-F'd, a chemical that Senior Doctors and do not recognize.
Please give some lore about your Medical Consultant character and what storylines they would be involved in:
James Kenraali, a man from Finland, has always been a bit insecure about everything. Almost all of the time he worked at the foundation, he was frequently affected by cognitohazards and memetic hazards. He never got a break from them and was always scared to look at anything in sight, fearing it would affect him again. At the start of February of [REDACTED], Assistant James Kenraali, alongside Omega-1 Operative 'Niko,' went on a sampling run of SCP-682. Unfortunately, after the operative angered 682 too much, it bit off Kenraali's left arm, leading to him bleeding while running to medical to get it bandaged. A medic treated him afterward, but it wasn't enough. Once James returned to his office, the bleeding was too much, and he passed away there. The O-1 operative had managed to get off-site, leaving James to rot away in his office. Four hours later, he was found by another Omega-1 operative, who noticed that Kenraali's hand had been bitten off but was slowly regenerating. Scared of what he had seen, he ran away. Kenraali's hand soon fully regenerated. James woke up from death, realizing he had fully regained his hand. However, he didn't notice that an anomaly had taken over him, torturing him for eternity. Shortly after, James Kenraali was reassigned to the role of Site Advisor, having been affected by an unknown cognitohazard. MTF ETA-10 was soon arriving at the site to terminate him. O5-3 and Site Manager Cade Valentine took him under their care, but it didn't really change anything. They took him to the medical consultation office, where Kenraali got to listen to a final story. Afterward, he was shot in the head by Site Manager Cade Valentine under the orders of O5-3. He soon woke up again from death, with one eye blind. After some time, he found his way back to Site-65. As his discharge from his role approached, he thought to himself that if being killed didn't work, maybe killing himself would. So, he walked into an office with Combat Medic Jason to give his last words, and afterward, he drank a vial of poison. He passed away again but woke up from death two weeks later, finding himself in the role of Combat Medic, still controlled by the same anomaly keeping him alive. He soon underwent retraining at the site. After long and hard work, he talked to the Directors of Medicine, filled out a form for the role of Consultant, and shortly after reached that position. After reaching the position. Kenraali got straight back to work with being a Clearance 4 member of staff again. Starting surgeries and helping with diseases. Also going on to assist other members of medical a lot. Starting new projects and orders for Junior Medical staff to do. Examples of like a blood drive!
