What does this suggestion change/add/remove:
This suggestion adds the Own Team Spy Card (the same one ISD gets) to DEA Manager+
Has something similar been suggested before? If so, why is your suggestion different?:
Unsure if something like this has been suggested before, if it has it would have been a while ago.
Possible Positives of the suggestion (At least 2):
This would allow for DEA Senior CL4 Members to investigate members of site who potential might be leaking information to GOIs.
Additionally, this would allow for greater cooperation with ISD as we can work together on cracking down on the people leaking information to GOIs.
The addition of this would also create some new pull to join the department as with this new piece of equipment it would allow for new and exciting RP.
Possible Negatives of the suggestion:
Some negatives of this could be misuse of the spy card, however we would speak to SA and ISD about making some rules around the use of it.
Another negative may be that some Regiments/Departments may feel that we are taking something away from them by having it however we would only be using this to gain information regarding people who may be leaking information to GOIs
Based on the Positives & Negatives, why should this suggestion be accepted:
Based on the Positives and Negatives I have listed the reasoning for this to be accepted is that this would allow for much better information gathering within site on people who may be assisting GOIs as currently the only way for people to do this is just by awkwardly watching people while trying to not be suspicious. This would allow some different RP with DEA, as we could cooperate with ISD to crack down on people by first identifying anything related to a GOI and then ISD can move forward with either arresting them or if the offense is great enough maybe a tribunal.
As DEA currently stands we are limited in the information gathering that we can do, which is one of the main purposes of DEA, by the limited equipment we have to do this. Our information gathering on surface is difficult but it is possible whereas within site there is not a real easy way to gather any information without looking extremely suspicious or out of place. This would allow for such RP to happen as we can more easily blend into the personnel we are trying to investigate.
