What O5 role are you applying for, and why (give the specific O5 number)
I am applying for the position of O5-4. My reasoning is out of a desire to generate new and engaging roleplay for the server from one of the best available positions to do so. I have seen from my position as a trusted OSA how FCOM generally interacts and have had time to think of ideas that integrate and mesh well with how those current operations work and provide fresh perspectives on potential roleplay scenarios or plotlines. While I am a GM, there are certain things that I like to do as a played character rather than from behind the scenes.

What makes you the best candidate for the O5 Council?
There are a multitude of reasons as to why I hold a strong claim to a seat on the council. My ascension through the ranks of the foundation has largely been done through roleplay interactions, accented by a learned understanding of SCP lore and the specific rules and regulations of the foundation on an in-character perspective. I first began in the server as anyone does and drifted around for a few years, up until I gained the XK VIP and started what began as a fledgling's attempt to hit the big leagues as an up-and-coming businessman.
That began with me becoming a member of SET, around or nearly a year ago. During that time, I was able to regularly interact with the primary three groups of the server, that being the Foundation, The UNGOC, and The Chaos Insurgency. Toward the end of the last year, I became its sole leader and arose to a new station, one that I did not quite understand, but learned as I went.
While I am the first and loudest to state that running my little band of businessmen is not the same as the position I now find myself applying for, I believe it does hold genuine credence, as it has generated various interactions for all three GOIs to participate in, and has been doing so for nearly half a year with me running it alone, and nearly a year with me running it with others.
The perspective gained through acting as a trusted OSA, direct advisor to "The Godfather", and Chronicler of the Council, has granted me the courage and insight to apply. The experience has granted me the wider perspective necessary to understand just how impactful the role can be, and a lot of the duties, both spoken and unspoken, that are entailed with such a role.

What are the responsibilities of the O5 Council in RP?
The Overseer Council...
Operates the Foundation from the highest echelons of its command structure, doing so strictly from the shadows, and never doing so directly in a way that would compromise their identities
Engages with all levels of the foundation, their decisions acting as ripples, with everyone in the foundation under them acting as the sands that these ripples wash over. Every order or action taken or made impacts every member at some level.
Interacts with the Ethics Committee, usually feuding at some level, shadow wars behind the scenes, or just gathering intel on them. (This does not quite mean that all interactions with Ethics MUST be negative, some can become quite fruitful in the correct circumstances)
Holds meetings with GOIs regarding situations that require their presence.
Utilizes their Assistants for clerical work or meetings that their presence would not be required for or otherwise could result in their harm. And to sign documents.
Provides commands to Alpha-1 and uses them for combative matters of extreme importance or otherwise requiring utmost secrecy.
Maintains the chain of command, generally avoiding direct intervention or subtle intervention with matters delegated to other groups in the foundation.
(O5 don't arrest people for breaking FLC, for example. That's ISD's thing)
Utilize ERT in emergency situations, as well as the detonation of the onsite nuclear warhead in the event of a catastrophic breach.

Collectively decide on changes needed to be made to the Code of Conduct
Plan missions, operations, orders, and event lines that impact various GOIs or Departments in the server.
Remains mindful of the monumental impact that their positions hold over the ebb and flow of roleplay, generating interactions that involve massive branching interactions from their decisions.

Solomon, having lived a long and storied life, continued to work as an Overseer Assistant, eventually attaining the attention and understanding of -1. One, knowing Solomon's nature, age, and generally wise nature, claimed him as his advisor, and would go on to make Solomon 'The Chronicler of the Council'. His task was, from then on, to compile information and safeguard it, as certain things, not even the Council was permitted to know or recollect. As Solomon was immortal and, at a level, had shields from many manners of negative cognitohazardous effects, he was tasked with holding this information, to be used only in extreme emergencies.
His skill and penchant for forging contracts that bound the soul to his service led him into the arts of sorcery and eldritch magics. With each contract made, he grew in power, with contracted people being held in each department, his knowledge and capacity for information would only grow.
Eventually, at the loss of One and Three, Solomon found his way into a meeting of the other council members, throwing his hat into the ring to vie for a seat, given that two were now empty.
