Why are you applying for Director of Internal Security?
I’m applying for the opportunity to help bring ISD out of the difficult situation it’s currently in and to improve the department overall. As we’ve all seen, ISD has been struggling recently, and we’ve lost one of our crucial directors. Right now, all the pressure falls on one man and that is Hersh who is already extremely busy and now burdened with responsibilities meant for two people. I want to change that. I’ve seen firsthand how some parts the role of ISD Director operates through my experience assisting Tim Drakes with policy changes and rewrites, and I genuinely enjoyed that work.
believe I am the most dedicated among the commissioners. I don’t mean to speak negatively about any of my colleagues they are actually more of friends but I genuinely believe that I have the strongest passion for the ISD department. I’ve demonstrated that dedication before some members may remember when I was part of RSD. i stayed in that department for months without applying anywhere else, and I plan to do the same with ISD.
What makes you suitable for Director of Internal Security?:
Because of my experience in teaching and training, I believe i have an edge over the other candidates. I have been training agents since my time as an Investigator, always try to help members advance. As the current Head of Internal Development, one of my key responsibilities is training agents, and I’m personally mentoring more than a dozen at the moment. I’m not only training agents I’m also preparing them for their next positions. For agents, that means investigators, and for investigators, into inspectors. I’ve personally trained one investigator into an inspector and am currently mentoring that same inspector slowly into a commissioner.
One of my main goals as Director aligns with what I’m already doing as a commissioner simplifying documentation for all ISD ranks. For example, in the spawn room, Iredid the MTF arrest/disguise guide. It used to be a complicated text that some agents struggled with, but I turned it into a clear guide. I plan to apply this sameapproach to many more of our departmental documents to improve clarity, and overall understanding
This wouldn’t be my first director position, as I previously was the Director of Research. When I took on that role, the department was in poor condition the previousdirector had left just as I arrived, and I only had one executive remaining. I placed extra emphasis on training individuals who had strong dedication to the departmentand I personally rewarded those who created great roleplay scenarios. Before long, Research was in a much better state. I learned a great deal from that experience, and even more after my time in RSD, as I’ve continued to grow and as a person.
I’m a very approachable guy who can easily be contacted ingame or by Discord. I always make time to talk to anyone, regardless if they are a cl1 or a cl5, as I try my best to represent our department in the best possible light. I very often put myself in the shoes of others, and understand the frustration that might come from being ignored, by superiors or foundation high command.
What are the responsibilities of the Director of Internal Security in RP?:
They need to stay open minded with a natural outlook and keep an eye out for any cases that require attention.
They make sure the department runs like a well oiled, machine, and that anyone struggling gets the support they need.
They make sure every rank within ISD, works together the way they should with good communication and teamwork.
They step in when there’s any internal conflict and help settle things fairly.
They act as the main link between ISD, Command, and other departments Command to keep everything coordinated.
They make sure any complaint that comes in gets a neutral and fair investigation.
They hold everyone in ISD is set to a high standard of professionalism and make sure everyone represents the department well.
They ensure all ISD actions, including arrests, are fair, lawful, and justified.
They staying professional and showing others what’s expected from them.
They support and mentor their department, helping prepare them for bigger responsibilities.
They review and improve the ingame department documents and policies so things stay clear, up-to-date and easy to follow.
They oversee internal investigations to make sure they’re done right and without bias.
They protect sensitive information and make sure ISD stays secure from leaks or corruption.
They need to control their department to insure qaulity stability, accountability.
A Director needs to constantly & continuously control their department, fixing any and all problems that appears, which has the potential to damage the structure, reputation & stability of the department as a whole.
Please give some lore about your Director of Internal Security character and what storylines they would be involved in:
As Inspector Niko Murk got into the site, he saw Alpha-1 and Omega-1 just wandering about. Before long, he couldn’t remember the member he was talking to. He did remember speaking to a friendly face but couldn’t recall who it was anymore, so he just noted it on his clipboard that he had talked to LE.
As Niko walked into his office, he opened his desk and saw a document that stated: “Bring this to Tim, A-1 member Komodo breaking in and destroying the Director’s documents.” Since I didn’t remember what A-1 was, I asked another inspector, who told me he had no clue either.
I brought this document to Tim, and the inspector watched from the side while doing paperwork himself. He saw me being restrained by Director Tim Drake and a Commissioner. The inspector followed in the background and saw me being brought to the Ethics offices. When I walked out, I couldn’t remember anything. The inspector approached me and asked what that was about. When I asked, “What do you mean?” he showed me the bodycam footage, and I was shocked my own friend, my boss, had done something I couldn’t remember.
So I started an investigation. I was caught in RCPT looking through their folders and found that A-1 was ordering large amounts of chemicals. I knew this wasn’t just a small group by the quantity of chemicals ordered. When an Ethics member walked in with their soldiers, I knew I had to get out. As I tried to escape, I was stopped, identified, and brought to Ethics again. They made me drop my bodycam and then amnesticized me. he said I had hit my head, which was believable since I’m clumsy.
As he grabbed a document to show me I saw a bodycam on the table, and realized mine was missing, so thinking I had dropped it, I picked it up. After I left, I had an incident that made me check the bodycam, and when I did, I realized I had been investigating the A-1 group and had been amnesticized. I knew something was seriously wrong.
Before long, I was grabbed by the same group I was investigating. They shot me inside ISD and dragged my bleeding body to Floor 3. ISD tried to stop them, but their overwhelming numbers prevented it. That was the last time anyone saw me. This is the bodycam ISD later gave back to me, as I couldn’t remember anything from that point.
I was found crawling on the floor, unable to walk, and was brought to the medical wing where Senior Doctor Alex Shrimple performed a full-body examination and blood test. The blood test showed large amounts of Class-E and smaller traces of Class-A, even some Immortal Flesh. As he examined my clothing, he noticed two bullet holes but no entry wounds on my body.
An X-ray revealed why I couldn’t walk I had a bullet directly in my kneecap, which had been healed by the Immortal Flesh, and another in my thigh. He removed them through surgery.
Later, I was visited by O-1 Sunray and Assistant Henry. They explained that they knew I had been dragged to Floor 3 and tortured for an unknown reason. They also explained what O-1 and A-1 were and offered me the chance to work as an informant. I agreed, knowing that ISD couldn’t stand up to Floor 3 if they decided to kidnap me again. With their protection, I might survive until retirement.
So I started working with the Ethics Committee. I bought bodycam footage from an A-1 member for 50,000 and saw footage showing that I was amnesticated while an Ethics member tried to stop it and bring me to their wing, but A-1 acted against them.
Now I know that this Alpha-1 entity and the people they serve the O5 Council are nothing more than animals.
As I became a Commissioner, I began working closely with more agents, forming a small inner circle within ISD that I could trust and who would protect me. I instructed them to gather any information related to Floor 3 personnel, the IPD, and the Overseers. I knew ISD would never be allowed to prosecute O5 members, and IPD (also known as A-1) was protected by these powerful men. If we ever tried to arrest them or the A-1, they would stop us.
So, as Niko Murk, I hold great hatred toward Floor 3 and all of their schemes. He will try to bring down an O5 member by gathering every possible piece of evidence against these heartless bastards and see if Ethics can help make them feel like the rest of us not protected by walls of soldiers or their silver tongues. These cold politicians play gods while throwing away human lives for coverups or sadistic pleasure.
Niko Murk will do anything to bring down an O5 member.
