Denied New way to gain karma for dclass

What does this suggestion change/add/remove:

This suggestion adds contraband disposal chutes in inner dblock, and one in outer dblock. These chutes would allow dclass to dispose of contraband in exchange for karma. When interacting with the chute, it would function similarly to a weapon checker screen but will show (weapons, keycards, or other restricted items). Dclass would have two options:
  1. Dispose of one item (small karma reward)

  2. Dispose of all contraband at once (larger karma reward) (scaled by number of items) ( scaled by how strong the items are)
-A knife would give a small amount of karma, while a firearm would grant more.
-CL1 card would give very little compared to a CL4 card.
To prevent abuse, a cooldown or daily karma max from the chutes could be added. Dclass type blue would be unable from disposing of weapons they create from bending, but could still dispose of other contraband.

Other function for chutes:
Could add a way for dclass to pull out new weapons or cards from the chute, at random, this will then remove a big amount of karma, but also could not work 100% of the time with a long cooldown.

Has something similar been suggested before? If so, why is your suggestion different?:

Yes. There was a suggestion to reduce karma decay and introduce karma-related quests. However, this provides dclass with a new way to get karma, I would hope it could be added onto the other one as another way to get karma.

Possible Positives of the suggestion (At least 2):
  • Provides dclass with a new way to earn karma without tests.
  • Allows for good behavior while still letting dclass to collect contraband and riot.
  • Less riots = more tests

Possible Negatives of the suggestion:
  • Development time
  • Potential for abuse of the new system
  • Risk of making the karma system too easy or too farmable.
  • Could lessen the role or importance of GSD in confiscating contraband.
Based on the Positives & Negatives, why should this suggestion be accepted:

This suggestion provides dclass with a new way to earn karma, and helps manage contraband within dblock hopefully leading to less riots.
 
I like the overall idea, but I think it could be abused in a way that wouldn't make sense: getting items from the scrap dealer and immediately disposing of them. If this were to be a thing, it should account for that, either by making it so it doesn't work on items that you dispensed/bought, or by making it have reducing rewards, i.e. you get less the more you put in, with the reduction lasting for e.g. 5 minutes.

Firstly this item could be easily abused as pointed out by community feedback and staff in ways that wouldn't make sense, furthermore it removes more player interaction e.g The dclass could report these items of contraband to general security for credit etc.​
