What does this suggestion change/add/remove:
  • Add achievement for escaping the foundation as a D-class
  • Increase the XP reward for escaping the foundation as a D-class (perhaps a whole level, given the difficulty?)
  • Should be able to press F2 to claim rewards without dying. It feels bad to have to kill the RP early if you want the rewards for escaping... It's risky to continue playing because you might die or get into an RP situation that makes it impossible to claim the rewards without failRP.
  • Modify the jumpsuit reward to look a bit less like the janitor jumpsuit (so guards are more aware).
Has something similar been suggested before? If so, why is your suggestion different?:
People have asked to increase the XP reward before, and it has been accepted, but I actually originally was making this post because I didn't even know it gave me XP, it was so little.
People have also asked that SCPs don't respawn upon reaching the surface, I think D-class should get the same.
Possible Positives of the suggestion (At least 2):
  • Much more satisfaction upon escaping.
  • More opportunity for RP after escaping [instead of insta respawning for rewards, we can now continue the RP, maybe a team can be sent to find the D-class? lots of opportunity there]
  • Feels like something that should really have an achievement, its a minor thing but why not.
  • Increased encouragement to try and escape adds value to positions in the foundation that exist to stop that from happening.
Possible Negatives of the suggestion:
  • Could over-encourage escaping? Less D-class for researchers?
Based on the Positives & Negatives, why should this suggestion be accepted:
As a relatively new player (aside from briefly playing in 2023), I had an absolute blast escaping for the first time, but it was kinda underwhelming to just respawn. I *love* the jumpsuit you get for escaping (though I think it looks a bit too much like the janitor jumpsuit), but I was surprised at how little XP you get, and the fact there are no achievements for it.
I think overall this change will massively increase the opportunities for RP and will massively improve the gameplay loop surrounding escape (for the D-class and all personel involved in containing/retrieving them).

Currently, I feel there is an issue with D-Class staying out, once they're out. Now of course, this is not to downplay the roleplay that can be gained when they do this, people have ample reason to try and escape if they're roleplaying a Class-D. However, what I have seen is mostly Class-D sprinting to surface, beelining to the Insurgency bunker, and either suddenly becoming very buddy-buddy with people they have never met or infoleaking blatantly about things they don't even know. They then go straight back to Foundation to up their killcount since there isn't a raid protection rule and they can enter and leave at their leisure, even giving keycards to CI using this method when there is no MTF on to combat it.

While this is all to say -support on this suggestion specifically, I feel that if they had a reason to try and integrate, maybe giving them the ability to do some civilian mechanics on surface (I hate mentioning DarkRP but it does work for keeping people there) or otherwise trying to encourage them to try protect themselves on surface and stay mildly secretive. If they were able to gain open comms (NOT Foundation comms in their Faction) then maybe it could help. Spitballing here, really.
