What does this suggestion change/add/remove:
This is a suggestion for 079 to be completely hidden on the tab list from all factions to prevent metagaming.
It is no secret that metagaming is a problem that exists in the server, and SCP-079 is arguably the scp that is the most affected by it. Whenever something odd happens, like a door opening in a way that cant be explained, some player's first action is checking the tab list to see if 079 is on-site, and if they arn't they dont even bother to check 079 CC because they already know their not on, so why even bother! As an example, while I was sitting in breach queue writing this suggestion (as 079) two people came and checked my CC to see if I was breached. And while I am not in E-11, I severely doubt 079 is routinely checked when he isn't flagged on.
As a side note, even if someone isn't intentionally metagaming, seeing 079 in tab list can still affect someone's decision making if they see something unexplained, as it is hard to pretend to act in character if you have meta knowledge, even accidentally.

(please read the negatives section before reading this or it wont make as much sense)
Despite the fact that a researcher can no longer use the tab list to discern if 079 is flagged on for a test, realistically in my two months playing on CN I have never seen or heard of a 079 test. While im sure at least a few have been done in the history of the server, 079 is an scp that is tested on so rarely that this negative side would not affect the server the vast majority of the time. Additionally, should a researcher actually want to do a 079 test, they can simply as for 079 to flag on in OOC and, provided that 079 is not afk (which would make testing impossible anyway) 079 could tell the researcher that they are available for testing.
Has something similar been suggested before? If so, why is your suggestion different?:
No, not to my knowledge.
Possible Positives of the suggestion (At least 2):
- impossible to metagame 079
- 079's "silent breach" is truly undetectable
Possible Negatives of the suggestion:
Researcher's cannot check tab list to see if 079 is flagged on (please read the end of the first section)
Based on the Positives and Negatives, why should this suggestion be accepted:
Overall, I believe that this suggestion should be accepted because this would solve 079's issue of metagaming, as well as the one perceivable downside being negligible and solvable with two OOC messages.
