What makes you the best candidate for Ethics Committee Assistant?​

I have a very calm temperament, allowing me to remain in a professional mindset when required for the role. Along with this level headed temperament it allows me to make good decisions in stressful situations. People on site have informed me of my approachability and helpfulness, as of current my primary role is medical based, which also allows me to aid in positive relations between both departments, if I'm able to get the position. Mediation is something i'm good with afterall, keeping a neutral stance and gathering information from multiple parties to ensure the outcome is fair for all parties.
What are the responsibilities of Ethics Committee Assistants in RP?

It's the duty of Ethics Committee Assistants to uphold the code of ethics, they work under Ethics Committee Members to ensure this goal is achievable. However that isn't their single purpose.

ECA's are a proxy for Ethics members, they are typically given documents and deliver them to the ethics members in question, they are seen as the first point of contact between most site staff and the Ethics committee. As they are a proxy they can stand in place for the ethics member if requested to do so, they will typically give a document summary of the events. This could be in terms of an ethics violation done by JR cl4 or a lower ranking individual, as there are typically more issues from lower ranking site staff, ECA's are typically the ones handling those situations so that the Ethics members can focus on more important situations or issues that may need their attention.
In order to complete their given tasks, ECA's are expected to be accompanied by O1, this includes being on good standing with individual members to ensure there aren't any incidents of infighting amongst the ethical side of the site.

In terms of general duties, they also possess the basic responsibilities other CL4 staff possess, for instance;
Authorisation of AA for containment of SCP's, primarily in instances of mass breaching.
Ensuring any and all infighting between site staff is handled amicably, ensuring both sides are heard and if necessary, handing them off to ISD for proper punishments.

[A sound of music, quiet but its there. There's some light chatter around the room. A woman sits at the bar, red hair flowing down her back and a dark blue fedora on her head. Her suit jacket is draped over her shoulders, and the rest of her attire is mostly formal wear. Other than her sturdy working boots.]

[The bartender approaches, a shorter slicked back haircut, slightly more casual attire but still profesional, he makes his way over before the woman speaks.]

" This is ridiculous, he plans to send me back once more... To act as his eyes on the inside... Surely he knows that will only result in issues! "

[The voice of a woman questions, a slight echo persisting in her voice.]

" Hey, Its alright cori, I'm sure this time will result in a better time. Besides, you did what you could. "

[The cheerful tone of a man persists, a shaker now being used and a liquid soon being poured into a glass.]

" But I could of done more, been more discreet, something to stop that... Well... Unplanned reveal. I received no warning of that annoying demons return. Nothing from you know who, he then acts as if its entirely my fault for the situation... It reminds me of several situations during my first experience there, the time I remembered nothing! "

[A mug is slid across the table.]

" Here, you need a drink. On the house with a familial discount! "

[ The man chuckles.]

" Thank you Jase, I needed it... On the bright side- he's sending me to a parallel dimension this time... No one will know me, unless they too have somehow transported there- or there's an actual person there with my name. "

[The woman takes a sip of her drink and lets out a sigh.]

" You always know the perfect concoction of drink to calm people, sometimes i'm envious brother. "

" Well, you're better at words and actions. I'm better at listening and observations. We both have our fields, and besides a bartender always knows. "

[Jase smiles, tilting his head. There's a sudden crash as the twins both look towards the culprit.]

" Mr. Thamtavic please stop using your powers while drunk- we'll have a repeat of last week! "

[The bar tender exclaims as he exits from behind the bar.]

" It was lovely to catch up with you cori- but i've got a situation to handle. "

[The woman will chuckle.]

" No worries brother, thank you for this talk.. It's been very helpful. "

[The woman finishes her drink and stands from the bar, making her way to the door. She adjusts her suit jacket and fedora. Her footsteps echoing on the floor. She will soon exit, and looks down to her right. A wolf like entity sits there, looking up at her expectantly. ]

" Hello Jester, doing an amazing job like usual ey? "

[She leans down and forms a bone in her hand, giving it to the wolf before scruffing his hair.]

" Keep an eye on Jase for me will you? I dont want the boss entangling him in this mess.. "

[The entity makes no visible sound, but its beady eyes move up and down, acknowledgment. The woman's smile soon fades as she walks into the empty darkness, a small form appearing on her shoulder.]

" Are the documents in position friend? "

[The small entity nods]

" Good... Let's get going. Stay hidden alright? "

[The woman takes a few more steps before vanishing in a cloud of black feathers.]

[From a distance, another entity watches, soon fading into the darkness of the void.]​

How does the lore you've written here manifest itself in-game? And, does that suit the Ethics Committee?

My ptsd of my time on the us site is showing here isn't it huh? The memories of the COE are engraved into my skull. I'll adapt quickly though, all I need is the chance too.

My old habits of over explaining will be my downfall, but i will say that through my prior applications i've included an overarching story. One that will reveal over time if i'm given the chance. Its a story uk players dont know, but us ones may recognise through events i've hosted when i was a GM.

OK, that first part makes sense. If you play an hour or two of ISD you'll quickly familiarise yourself with the FLC, and it's enforcement.

For the latter point, I meant more 'does this seem like an Ethics Assistant to you?'. It's not wrong to reach outside of the box a bit, but, there are expectations when it comes to the candour and tone of an Ethics representative. It's reminiscent of the numerous medical consultants who've written sarkicism into their lore for... Some reason. So, will your character veer too far away from the role to the point where it becomes unbelievable? Or, is this going to play into the duties and ethos of the Ethics Committee well?

I can reassure you, this character has nothing to do with sarkicism. This plays into the characters role, there are reasons for choosing this line. If you wish for me to tell you more i'd be more than happy to explain it too you through other places than on the app. I wish for the lore to remain secretive as its at a bare minimum a years worth.

The story above is merely a point to drive people's curiosity.

She has demonstrated great RP abilities and her character is genuinely interesting and decently written. Moreover, she is more than competent for this position. Overall probably the best candidate.
