You can usually get these sort of changes made by going through IC leadership. Make a request/suggestion to e.g. O5/SA/EC depending on your regiment and how your site works, and if they approve it (sign a doc or whatever saying to make it so), call a sit whenever a Senior Admin+ is on to get it...

There are absolutely ways to improve it though, especially since you already know the full list of possible strings upon initialisation. The most basic thing I can think of is just giving every chemical an integer ID, in order of the alphabetical strings, and then just reassign/update that...

You can change how it's implemented, though, and a lot of implementations probably wouldn't be an issue. Like storing the chemicals using SQL and then just using ORDER BY to retrieve them in the right order.

I like the idea of a general area. Maybe add it as a VJE option, so jobs can either have no panic button, a basic one, or one with location included. Locations would be like LHCZ, UHCZ, LLCZ, ULCZ, D-block, Medical, LCZP, PW, CS, EZ, Admin Sector, Surface Level.

"Elevator landing" or "landing area in front of the elevator" or "in front of the elevator doors" would be a tad more understandable. "Landing Zone" usually specifically refers to the landing area for a helicopter or similar aerial vehicle. "Landing" is also not often used for contexts like this...

No, you use inversion to invert the effects of harm. If anything, being hit with a tranq should give you a short speed boost and maybe a screen effect, not just not doing anything.

I'd rather chefs and food be removed entirely. It's just a minor annoyance ever so often and pretty much never involves RP, as there's never a chef around when you actually need one, so it's just MRE simulator. Adds pretty much nothing of value to the game outside of a crappy cooking minigame...
