What will you do to stop this from happening again: I won't call Holland fat again because it hurt his feelings and was mean and I won't speak about slavery again because according to the moderator in charge just because I am talking about slavery as a whole means I am racist towards black people, and I like black people.
Why should you be unbanned: Look alright, in no way shape or form do I condone slavery of any kind. What I said to a DEA Agent was "I would not even own you as a slave on my plantation." Now I understand what I said was wrong, but I believe at the same time it was not racist. If it was racist I would have been targeting him, or a specific race strictly based off skin color for that remark. Now in no way was I trying to justify slavery, but the moderator was trying to make it seem I did it because of race, which I was not. I used the example that in history, there has been many forms of slavery such as Indians, Irish, Asians, Muslims, fucking Christians! Now I am again not trying to justify slavery, I am strictly saying that just because the moderator said that slavery is specifically accustomed to African Americans in most recent history does not mean that I am targeting them because of it.
I have been away from Civil for the past few months, and I had no intention of coming back and causing any trouble. To be entirely honest however, the guy I said it too was talking shit, sitting there begging O5 for an infil that we had too much going on to get it auth. I told him multiple times to stop, and he started insulting me. Anyone who has known me long enough knows I don't go for that shit, so I said what I said. Looking back on my record I have only one incident like this and that the VERY FIRST day I joined the server. I do believe the punishment was a bit too extreme for the circumstance and nobody, and I mean nobody was trying to hear me out.
That brings me onto my next point, Johnathan Doe, I apologize for how I acted and I know I didn't make a good impression in my ticket, but he was disrespectful to me first. I was trying to keep my cool in the ticket, and I ask for someone to speak to, and he just comes in, and, in my eyes, he is being all snarky and just tells me to go to the forums. From my perspective, he basically just slapped me in the face with his dick and told me to skedaddle. I wasn't going for that, so please excuse me for having a moment there.
I really just want to come back and have fun on the server. I know what I did was wrong, but at the same time I believe it was being blown out of proportion and was trying to make it seem worse than what it was. I wasn't targeting any race nor was I defending racism and slavery. I would provide clips, but I forgot to change my push to talk so my voice isn't transmitting in them.
