What does this suggestion change/add/remove:
- Three things:
1.
Look into replacing the current SCP-939 with a more polished version.
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2982817871
It has walk, run, crouch, and idle animations. I think it has some good taunt animations as well? (sniffing)
2. Replace/remove the super goddamn loud footsteps 939 has currently.
The current sound may match the current models fucked up walkcycle, but if the new model is implemented, the footsteps should be changed to not be so loud/quick and better fit the improved animations. Also in general I think the footsteps are wayyyy too loud.
3. Add an attack cooldown on the 939 swep to prevent spam.
Spam clicking is the #1 cause of SCP-939 FailRP warns. Just add a cooldown on the SWEP like 049-2 and the other whacking sweps.

Has something similar been suggested before? If so, why is your suggestion different?:
I was unable to locate any previous suggestions for this.

Possible Positives of the suggestion (At least 2):
- A model with real animations that looks polished and realistic
- Allows 939 to lean more into the silent killer aspect instead of the freight train it currently is
- Prevention of FailRP warns by simply limiting the swep.

Possible Negatives of the suggestion:
- The model textures may need compression to be less server intensive (its quite detailed)
- I don't know if anyone even knows how 939's footsteps work
- Editing the swep may be difficult

Based on the Positives & Negatives, why should this suggestion be accepted:
- Better SCP
- Better Realism
- Better RP

I agree in principle - This exact asset however, seems to be highly detailed and more intended for use in stuff like high quality machinima-style videos and such?

I'd imagine that it would need to be properly optimised for use on the server. I realise that you do mention this, but that's just in terms of textures. I was thinking along the lines of polys, but in all likelihood, both may be true. That would be something that'd be assessed by art devs, whether it's a reasonable venture.

Also, +Major Support for the cooldown. I'm surprised it's not already a thing, honestly. Spam clicking on 939 is an easy habit to get into because latency and it's always not sure whether your click registered. And people will always just accuse of spam clicking when you're not anyway, so I don't get why you wouldn't just mechanically restrict that.

939 is already quite a meh SCP already, so adding a cooldown instead of just allowing them to spam click a target to death would make them considerably weaker, encouraging people to go breach other SCP's that are better.

for the rest +Support

But spam clicking is against the rules anyway 😭 Literal server rule violation

At least I'm pretty sure it's an extant rule specific to them. Being discouraged to breach them because of them being prevented from something they weren't allowed to do anyway is wild

In terms of just allowing it... I agree that 939s should be stronger, but I don't think allowing it outright is the way to go. I think it needs buffs.

No? Not in this context.
Spam clicking for no reason isn't allowed, because you're biting the air, trying to hit targets you don't know exist.
Whenever you know someone is there/exists, then you start jitterclicking the fuck out of the 939 swep, so that you can kill them as quick as possible. If a cooldown was added (Akin to that of 9000's per say), then 939's DPS would be considerably lowered, and would need something like a damage buff as compensation.
