⟡What Ethics Committee role are you applying for, and why⟡

I am applying for the Ethics Committee Member position. There are many reasons for my decision in resubmitting an application and wanting to return. But the main one being I wish to continue what I did during my last ethics run, make fun and unique RP and storylines outside of the regular gameplay loop. I was also a very in-game oriented ECM who showed face and interacted with things in game as much as possible, I tried to avoid "discord RP" as most as possible because it's important to remember, RP happens in game and in game alone, information may be shared in discord channels as well as organizing meetings ect but it's important to separate the two. I wish to and build on the storylines I left behind as the Ethics Chair and assist in the bettering of the site once more, ethically of course.

When I first joined this community the Ethics Committee was a heavily disliked and borderline-toxic department because of bad decisions and just immoral people. As of the past year the past few chairs have been mending the view the community had of the committee and this toxic/untrustworthy demeaner has been fading. I wish rejoin and keep this good streak going and to quote the second chairman I was under, Recker has said in the past I want to 'Secure the trust of the Community', and I believe I still posses the tools to keep that going.

My previous goals were the following, which I did in fact meet during my time -

- I continued my project of making the lives of foundation staff easier and pleasant even. I expanded on the 'beautification' project of updating signs around the site for more of a personal feel as well as the redecoration of commonly traveled areas. An example of the start of this is the addition of plaques outside each department leaders office/bunks where we can highlight their service to the foundation and honor them. Another one was adding more clear signage for policies and programs, I wished to simplify the research departments posters and signs for a more streamline and modernized view, the most obvious rendition of this part of the program would be the whiteboard we had installed in D-Block to inform D-Class about work permit changes and policies when/if they happen.​

- In addition to my beautification project I wanted to make the lives of two specifically overlooked departments easier, Research and E-11. Within my time as an Ethics Member I have worked with numerous Directors Of Research and I believe the reason we lose so many researchers is that there is to many steps in order to get any kind of real research done without having to jump through hoops of site command and Site Administration alike. I worked with Research leadership in order to get programs like CRB reinstated (under proper leadership) as well as taking another look at the testing/sampling guidelines to make it easier to get permission for certain tests and or samplings. For E-11 I wished to give them more power when it comes to SCPs and Testing, within the support of other site command members and E-11 leadership alike to allow certain E-11 CO ranks the ability to approve safe-level scp cross tests (similar to the power an ECA has within cross testing approval). Another way I gave E-11 more power in the very area they guard is my suggestion for granted permission (To certain E-11 mems in a sub-reg) to sample for chemical grenades which is something they have been asking for to better combat Chaos raids. Though as of recent sampling perms have been limited to better research RP, I wish to look into this again and find a way to allow our cave dwellers (L) chemical weaponry easier.

- My third goal was to continue the development of the work program system and just general D-Class enrichment programs. I wish to start a program to better introduce/rehabilitee to the world of the foundation in the form of presentations, classes, and 'field trips'. I have experimented with this idea and throughout the previous years holiday seasons hosted a haunted house for d-class, thanksgiving hand turkey decorations which where hung up in d-block and the permit office, a thanksgiving feast, the opportunity to meet Santa (an O-1 dressed as him lol), art classes with Sr. Researcher Kris Fry, swimming lessons with an ECA, cooking class, the greeting of new incoming D-Class from the HCZ train and of course lectures about the code of ethics and their role in the foundations mission. These beforementioned ideas where unfortunately only able to happen when GMs where available but still happen to this day in the form of 'D-Class orientation', 'Art-Class' and more recently the 'EZ playground.' I also plan to host the similar holiday things I did last year :) especially the hand turkeys that was very fun to have community art everywhere.

I truly enjoy this community and wish to enhance the RP happening and make more available for D-Class-CL5s alike.

𓇼 What makes you the best candidate for the Ethics Committee?𓇼
There are multiple reasons I am the best current candidate for Ethics Committee Member. I was a neutral party when it came to site command during my last run, I didn't start a single conflict nor war and focused on my own area of focus and that only. I played oversite and stepped in to assist in policy changes when necessary because I believe I shouldn't stick my nose into department directors and SA a likes ordeals if nothing is concerning ethics or legal affairs. I also feel that I brought unique RP to the table, I did it once and I know can do it again, I was in leadership positions for a year (Consultant+DoM+ECM/ECC) previously and had a relatively smooth run where I accomplished the following -

𓇼The Rework of the D-Class work program. The program was a bit outdated due to the recent EZ update and the D-Class security update which left things confusing for CL4s who where in charge of giving these permits out. I with the help of my Ethics Committee Assistant Coordinator procured a new streamline design for the permits which is easy to read as well as understand. I also sat down and rewrote each permit as well as the guide to be more modernized and updated things such as the Chef permit to allow them to deliver food around site with their escort. This update also removed the need to log permits as it is 100% based on the in game mechanic of security levels which makes it easier and faster to give out permits. Still utilized to this day and is an easier, a more welcoming thing for our lower level player base of d-class.

The Medical "blank" of the month program which is still utilized to this day. This is a program I started as the director of medicine during the summer in order to honor and show D-Class volunteers in our Medical Assistant program that they are appreciated and valued. This program went on to grow into the doctor of the month program in which award(s) are given out to honor our medical team in their life saving duties. This program is still here, even a year later an I am grateful for the medical directors past and present for preserving it though it did alter slightly through the months.

𓇼 The revitalization of clauses and additions to the CoE one of which being the following. During my time as an Ethics Member I first hand witnessed the mistreatment of animals in our testing facility. That is unfortunately a industry standard when it comes to general facilities and I decided that needed more oversite and protection for our fluffy friends. The addition of 3.05 - Treatment and Testing of Animals to protect the voiceless and stop the unwarranted/unneeded slaughter of the rodents and reptiles alike. This clause still stands and actively helps in two ways, in an OOC manner it allows GMs to do events with SCPs that have animalistic traits and not having them immediately murdered. In an IC way it keeps people in check and make people actually try to investigate an capture instead of murder, as well as giving ISD a clear charge for these situations.

The addition of that clause allows moments like Cosmos and many other animalistic SCPs (certain animalistic SCPs before being deemed an SCP) to be safe and protected under the CoE and allow a good flow of RP for all :)

"I feel my past work shows that the things I put in place stick and are useful even when I am long gone. I wish to make an impact that will leave a positive system even when I am no longer serving as an Ethics Committee Member/Chairwoman." If I may, my most worked on project the revitalization of the work program, the changes streamlined and made it easier to do permits, fairer to d-class and more fun for all involved and doesn't feel like a literal irl job having to fill out three separate things. Though not all my accomplishments nor things I assisted with are listed I feel those are the most public and ones that helped the community the most. I wish to fulfill new goals and engage and create RP again as an ECM.

If I am chosen for ECM again these are making the most deserved return 💅🏻

And before you evil people speak about activity, I am employed full time and was working x2 the amount the past month due to training, I have thousands of hours on the server and unfortunately am on the leaderboard for most play time 💀. My work load is lowering in the next week and my activity will climb drastically, during my last ethics run I had a disgusting V-Time and expect it to grow to that shortly as the slow season for my job is approaching.

Imagine taking 6 months to approve a document as ecc you call other people inactive yet your the most inactive of the lot and when you do get on you only mess around with your O1 buddy's and ignore most of the site. Not only that you got your buddies to -support a dor app all because you were going to get consequences in *rp* mind you which you brought into ooc with the -support spam within the same minute of each other.

This might be a US specific problem, but as a former ECC you've mentioned absolutely nothing about the actual purpose of the Ethics Committee in an RP or 'lore' fashion. I see no recognition of the Committee's true purpose, primary action, or even any other widely-accepted interpretation. "Welfare of all site personnel including D-Class", I wouldn't even say this is correct and falls more onto the medical staff.

You could say that the Committee manage and maintain morale across the Foundation, which would be valid. You could say that decide what is and is not acceptable, which would be correct— or, you could argue that they are a body used strategically for the Foundation to justify it's actions. Anything more than 'managing the D-Class work programme', for example...

You stated your previous goals/achievements were "Beautification Project" (Making signs "pretty" around site), D class white board decal and to do more D Class Program stuff.
These are pretty poor achievements for an ECC, for the scale of your role and the power you held. Even from reading the application, it reads like you care more about how your application looks then the quality of content within the application itself.
