Why are you applying for Executive Researcher?
I am applying because out of everything I've tried on the server, the Executive Researcher position is simply the one I've enjoyed the most. Here are a few specific highlights of why I love the role:
  1. As an Executive, you get a lot of opportunities to invest time into helping others make their way through the research department. Seeing people grow as both researchers and roleplayers under your guidance is incredibly rewarding.
  2. You have a much greater opportunity to create roleplay for yourself and others. While any researcher can initiate roleplay, the Executive position gives you far more options and freedom to spark engaging scenarios both within the department and outside of it.

What makes you suitable for Executive Researcher?
I believe there are a few key reasons that make me a strong fit for the Executive Researcher position. In no particular order:
  1. I have a lot of experience and transferable skills in educating others. I know how to be patient and break down complex guidelines or testing protocols so that newer players can easily understand them, get involved, and feel confident in their roleplay.
  2. I am great at communication, both with my superiors and subordinates. Whether it's passing information up the chain, coordinating with other departments, or just keeping the research team on the same page, I always make sure everyone stays informed and included.
  3. I genuinely love the research department. Because I care about it so much, I am highly motivated to do everything in my power to see it grow. I want to put in the work to make it a more fun, welcoming, and rewarding place for people to spend their time.

How many excellent-graded documents have you written? What makes a document excellent?
I have written somewhere in the neighborhood of 50 excellent+ documents.

To me, an excellent document comes down to three main things:
  1. Scientific Merit and Roleplay Potential: The core idea needs to be engaging. When a concept has strong roleplay potential, the actual in-game testing is fun and seamless for everyone involved. That naturally translates into making the final document much easier to write well in character.
  2. Solid Structure: The document should essentially follow the scientific method. While there is room for creative deviation, the core elements: Goal of Study, Hypothesis, Procedure, Results, and Conclusion need to be there in some shape or form. Excellent documents also weave in additional sections that synergize well with the core study, such as relevant SCP information, detailed addendums, or immersive flair like participant logs.
  3. Execution and Effort: The document must be well-thought-out. Even with a great idea and solid structure, you still have to stick the landing with how the study is actually written. While this is the most subjective factor and different Execs might have slightly different tastes, an excellent document is one where the majority of the executive team would read it and immediately agree that it is well-written and clearly had genuine effort put into it.

What are the responsibilities of the Executive Researcher in RP?
An Executive Researcher's responsibilities generally fall into two main categories: administrative duties and scientific research.

On the administrative side, an Executive is responsible for ensuring the department runs smoothly on a day-to-day basis. This includes educating newer personnel, managing rewards and disciplinary actions, grading documents, reviewing and refining researchers' study proposals, approving Junior Researcher credits, and ensuring that all departmental activity is recorded accurately and promptly.

On the scientific side, Executives must lead by example. This means actively continuing to perform and publish our own high-quality studies, completing specific projects assigned by personnel higher in the chain of command, and facilitating the projects of those lower in the chain of command to help them succeed in their own RP.

Please give some lore about your Executive Researcher character and what storylines they would be involved in:
Character Background Available Here

Leonid Lebedinski is a fairly new character and has not been involved in a crazy amount of storylines within the server just yet. Howver, out of the ones that he has been involved in, here are a few highlights:
1. Sr. Researcher Lebedinski has been called up to floor 3 to discuss his participation in the termination attempts of SCP-096 by Inspector Grant. This was due to Leonid's prior involvement with radiation studies. Now Leonid is collaborating with Executive Researcher Heinz to develop more effecting a permanent SCP-096 terminatiion rechniques.
2. Sr. Researcher Lebedinski has been invited to an expedition to Siberia by Executive Researcher Atkinson due to his experience within the GRU-P. This expedition is to examine SCP-6051. The current plan is to have a joint expedition with the GOC. ( I think this will be important to Leonid, as working alongside the GOC against the interest of the GRU-P is quite a turn for him, but one he is very much willing to take)
