Why are you applying for Director of External Affairs?:
I am applying for this role because I want to simply become a Director, and I do enjoy DEA. I've been a Manager for nearly a month, which isn't a lot of time, but I've been able to experience what DEA is like and I wanna be able to improve it as I do believe that it's lacking. My plan is to involve DEA more internally, such as working with ISD to track down and interrogate people who are treasonous, and rooting out infiltrators, either be it DC or just someone who's RPing it. I'll talk more about that in the next section, but part of the reason why I'm applying is due to me wanting to be able to do some things for DEA that would make the role more appealing to other players, especially since I've noticed that newer players don't even really know what DEA do and don't seem to be all too interested.
What makes you suitable for Director of External Affairs?:
I believe I'm suitable because of a couple of factors. My Experience in DEA, My Plans for DEA, and My RP.
Experience in DEA
As I mentioned I've been DEA Manager for nearly a month, but I've been DEA for at least 2-3 Months now, and I've got a good grasp of what DEA can do, and what we can improve on. I've been trying to improve on it as a Manager, but I've been caught up with Uni so I've not had the time, as well as some changes happening to ISD. Overall though, DEA mainly only has the ability to disguise and infil, as well as do some information gathering, but due to a bunch of different factors it's relatively difficult for people to do it. Plans for DEA
I have a couple of plans for DEA that I've briefly outlined in other sections of the application. I want DEA to be able to work closer with ISD as a secondary duty, or some kind of division/group, in which they root out traitors and other people who are related to GoIs, capture them, and interrogate them. It would allow for RP and doesn't need to be a hostile thing, as there are multiple people already on the Site who are related to GoIs and so it could be a way to simply document their relations. It would also allow for DEA and ISD to truly be "Site Affairs" and would allow for the two of them to not have friction as they have in the past. Also, I want to push for DEA to have the ability to tap into comms lines, specifically ones where people directly contact a GoI, e.g. [John Doe-GOC]. Another thing I want DEA to be able to do is similarly assist IPD/IE with finding traitors too since those two groups like to do things like that as well.
My RP
Now admittedly, I haven't been able to develop my RP that much in the past 2-ish weeks due to Uni, but I have been doing some RP, although mainly on OSA, regarding talking to people and generally "interrogating" them. I also have some plans for my DEA character, although I am still deciding if I want an outright new character or not. For the most part though I'm able to RP well and I do enjoy being able to be a bit more menacing as DEA as I believe that we should be something that people consider before wanting to do any kind of traitor RP. I had a cool moment on Friday in which DEA and ISD were searching the Facility for a RSD who was trying to contact CI. Sadly it ended with an Alpha killing him. I also had a similar moment on Saturday in which ISD handed over a Janitor who was believed to be CI. I figured out he was GSD who had been kidnapped, and Class-E'd him so he forgot his knowledge of the base as he was forced to be a Janitor for them.
What are the responsibilities of the Director of External Affairs in RP?:
The responsibilities of the Director of DEA are relatively simple.
They are the one responsible for overseeing the entirety of the External Affairs Department, and are the final person that should be contacted in the internal chain of command. They oversee the Managers, who are chosen by the Director(s) to also then oversee the Special Agents and below.
Dpt. Directors are the ones who give the final say (bar SA/SC) on anything DEA related, such as operations, GoIs, and other things similar to that. They essentially have the final say in a negotiation, provided that it's not overruled by SA/SC. They appoint the Dpt. Managers and ensure they're doing their job, and also manage other things such as treaties and policies within the Department, although these can be delegated to Managers. They ensure that people are active, and also maintain cross-departmental relations with the help of their Leadership team. They communicate with Site Administration to discuss how the Department is doing and then also use any feedback to improve. They also deal with internal things, such as issues that may arise in the Department that damage the health of it, as well as fixing them. Finally, they ensure standards are upheld, and that reports are read.
Outside of the server, they also do some administrative things such as maintaining the roster, documents, and any Departmental sub-divisions and groups, with the help of their Management and Leadership team.

Law and Order appears to be an agreement between ISD and DEA that the Manager is going to propose. It is unknown when this will be fully developed, however. It does not appear that Zack is all to interested in any of the current, nearby GoIs. There has been some minor interactions between him and MC&D salesmen, but nothing beyond normal communication, or so it seems. Opinions were given by Zack on the different Groups of Interest:

My opinion on the Groups of Interest around and in Pinewood? Well...The Chaos Insurgency? I fucking hate them. Don't get why we haven't just blown up their base at this point...The Global Occult Coalition bore me, they try to act like peace mediators but are all just as war hungry as those green fucks. Parawatch? Vermin to be honest, but rather amusing sometimes. [Unrecognisable Talking] Yeah, yeah I know I treat them correctly, don't sweat it. Now...Marshal Carter & Dark...They are quite interesting, sometimes they can have some unique stuff in their wares, but it's normally not interesting enough to consider. A shame really...
