Why are you applying for Executive Researcher ?
I submit my application to you today so that it fits into a dynamic vision. I have noticed, lately, that a lack of Executive Researchers is felt within the RSD branch, particularly during weekdays. My original goal was to create this application later, once I had become more accustomed to the ways and practices of the scientific branch as a Senior Researcher. However, with the encouragement of certain colleagues within the department, the S.T.E.P. Program, the training I provide to Junior Researchers, and the fact that I am repeatedly asked for my opinion on recently written documents as a "proofreader" confirms my choice of an early application. Beyond personal choice, I think submitting this application also comes from a strong will. I have always been used to French communities within SCP RP. Meeting the Civil Network Community is both a breath of fresh air and a real field of new possibilities in my eyes. Possibilities that I intend to utilize as an Executive Researcher, whether to the benefit of newcomers or veteran players, to give back this sense of renewal.
What makes you suitable for Executive Researcher ?
As stated previously, I am a veteran player coming from a French Garry’s Mod SCP-RP community. This background, in itself, is in my eyes one of the main arguments for my legitimacy.Indeed, I started doing roleplay, specifically SCP RP, since 2016. Ten years of RP now as a scientist, a branch that has always inspired me, especially in a universe where I loved devouring every line of the articles from the SCP Foundation Wikidot.
I know I am not supposed to name other communities, so I will not do so, but I would add that during these long years, I have held many management positions. Supervisor, Deputy Director of the Scientific Department notably. Very often, positions of secondary responsibility, since it has often been remarked to me that I am a better lieutenant than commander, in a hierarchy. Beyond this practical experience, I also possess a great mastery of SCP lore in general. Although the fluid nature of the lore does not help, I am still passionate about the SCP universe, its history (and History with a capital H), and its nuances. I think I have an overview of all the elements and literary trends that have marked the site, in every era, from its beginnings to today.
Furthermore, I think my eccentric and unorthodox vision of scientific RP can be particularly advantageous to the Civil Network RP ecosystem. Since indeed, for those who have already RP'd with me, you can notice that I do very few laboratory experiments and that I prefer to concentrate on professorship and teaching! I perfectly accept the active nature of RP, and the permanent necessity of experiments to keep the server alive; just as our beating heart irrigates the body with life, the scientific department allows many other RPs to live. However, I accord an important place to discussion, reflection, and knowledge, researched or at least thought out. Why? Because I think it is THE entry point on the path of improvement and introspection. It is by teaching that one learns the most, and it is with the passion for teaching that one transmits this little spark of interest which is the first step towards the fire of real investment and honest interest for the SCP universe.

How many excellent-graded documents have you written? What makes a document excellent ?
I have gotten only one excellent-graded document, but 2 others are currently under review for a potential perfect grade. In my experience, an excellent document is a document that meets the following criteria:
- Interactive and Visual : A pleasant document is a document that is visual. Everyone knows that a block of text over 10 pages helps no one, whereas images, logos, and visual effects give a second wind to the reader and invest them.
- Mastery of Synthesis : A scientific document must be complete, without falling into the trap of an overly detailed and uninteresting narrative account. 10 concise pages are worth much more than 50 pages of repetitions.
- Mastery of the Scientific Method : Respect for safety protocols, RP research policy, and scientific knowledge. The more a report is in-depth in its scientific research, the more it proves that its author is invested or desires to establish themselves as an expert in a field.
- Mastery of spelling and syntax : The last key argument, no document will be excellent if the language is not mastered, despite all prior efforts.
What are the responsibilities of the Executive Researcher in RP ?
The responsibilities of an Executive Researcher are multiple. Firstly, in the most prominent and active sense, as a Junior CL4, it is primarily to guide during emergency codes. Opening/closing blast doors, guiding non-combatant personnel to the Breach Shelter, or on the evacuation route in case of a Code Black. However, beyond the power granted by the keycard, being an Executive Researcher is above all about guiding the department. Helping everyone in their journey, in RP as in OOC, to develop, to create bonds, or simply to have fun within the framework of the universe and the RP.
Obviously, it is also being the face of the Research Department. It is the Executive Researcher's role to be on the front line with other departments, to ensure that every exchange goes as well as possible for everyone. It is also representing the department and its members, taking part in activities, in the daily life of the research entity, taking the reasonable defense of well-intentioned researchers, or conversely, knowing how to respond responsibly when a disruptor cannot be reasoned with.
