How many hours can you be on everyday:

~4-5 hours

Do you have any previous experience as a Gamemaster/Event Manager in a community:

I was staff in a number of communities and assisted in creating events for people to partake in. Some of these were SCP-related - I was staff on an SCP:SL server and assisted the ‘event team’ we had there - Anything from giving out kits to changing models and such. SL in the day was limited so it took a good bit of creativity to assemble all of this.

Do you have any advanced skills that would benefit the GM team, such as PAC-3, dupes building, art creation and others? If yes, give us your best example of putting that skill into practice:

I’d say I’m pretty solid with PAC and I’m confident I’d be able to adapt quickly again and create more unique character designs. I used to do small but significant model changes that’d add a nice bit of lore to any specific character.

I also have a background in graphic design and art in the wider context. I mostly prioritise speed so things like concept designs and such but I’m no stranger to finished works. Concept art allows me to quickly and efficiently provide a visual for new and interesting ideas. I will provide some SCPRP-related sketches I’ve worked on lately.

Please list one RP Enhancement for a Foundation Department/MTF:

Site Staff - Stall

Chefs are often overlooked in the grand scheme of Site-65 and no one typically interacts with them. This can easily be fixed by giving them a stall! This would allow the chefs to easily sell their produce in a more populated area and an assortment of foods provided on their table might entice fellow Foundation members to buy their produce. If positioned next to a chute it’d allow people to make orders at the stall and an additional chef could dispense them from the cafeteria.

This also works wonders in downtime as it engages people with a relaxing yet not often seen form of roleplay.

Please list one RP Enhancement for a Non-Foundation Group:

UNGOC - Yet another delivery

The GOC has once again been asked to deliver the titular soft drink and restock Site 65’s vending machines.

As a GM I can issue them crates, spawn them a truck and maybe give them a new vending machine to ‘replace’ an old one or even as a new edition to the growing roster. There’s always a likelihood of mechanical failures and machines exploding, which might trigger a response from Foundation authorities.

Please list one Event idea for the United Nations Global Occult Coalition:

Operation Rook

The GOC has gotten word of a terrorist cell about to strike at Pinewood and its defenseless civilians. Air support is currently grounded due to a raging snow storm and their last reports are sightings of armoured vehicles approaching from the South, ETA 5 minutes. The GOC must defend Pinewood and push back the attackers to their staging area and then fully route them. Civilians might interrupt the combat at which point they must be escorted to the PD to save them from any potential harm.

Behind the scenes:

The GOC would be provided with defensive structures, I could spawn anything from fences to tables and tank traps, they’re given 5 minutes to prepare and gather any resources they need. After 5 minutes, preferably using ODIN an SGM and I spawn waves of attackers coming from several directions. After a few waves, the GOC are given a vehicle and allowed to advance to Lake House where they’re met with a few stragglers as they’re attempting to flee. By now “the snowstorm” has ended and air recon tells them the location of the stragglers and to grab Matadors for some vehicles. The GOC advances and finishes off the terrorists and RTB, ending the event. Upon success they are given more grants from Pepsico for defending their “local supply hub” and should they fail, Pepsico decides to pull some of their funding.

Please list one Event idea for the Chaos Insurgency:

VI-Kill

A VIP from another site is visiting Site-65 and will be spending time within its walls; CI high command wants him dead in order to cause chaos in their site but they cannot perform any assassination on them whilst there - Site 65 will have to be grounds for that. High command has provided CI with the budget to either acquire additional armor, guns or explosives. They must carefully choose which ‘package’ to go with to ensure a successful assassination. Should the assassination be successful, their overall budget will be increased and the assassin or their next of kin ( should they pass ) will be issued a cash reward.

Behind the scenes:

This could go smoother with multiple people but assuming I have to do all the work I’d do it like so: I’d approach CI as their ‘high command’ and issue the assassination order and provide them with the option they choose for the assassination. If they decide to go armour, 2 additional members they pick would be granted 500 armour and have their HP increased to 250 - No PKMs however unless they make more in 914. If they go for the gun package, I’d provide 2-4 members with PKMs or another very strong gun / LMG. Last but not least, if they decide to go with the explosives package - 2 of their members are given grenade launchers and 50 extra armour while another 2-3 members are given frags and other utility grenades or I just give 2 of them nitro. These can be tweaked as some might potentially be far stronger.

They then choose their plan of attack while I remodel myself as the VIP and either with another staff or a volunteer am transported into site, only when I’m in site are CI allowed to strike. Upon successfully killing me, the assassin is rewarded with a cash prize of ~10,000 and whoever ‘assisted’ is granted a 2nd prize of ~5,000 or even just a bit of Potent. They’re running on the clock however so unless they can get me within 20 minutes, I leave Site-65 in an armoured transport and Foundation reap the rewards instead, this time around it’s the best guard(s) that get the reward.

Please list one Event idea for the SCP Foundation:

Contaminant Chaos

The air around site-65 is usually a bit stuffy, that’s just how it is in an underground facility but now it feels a bit stuffier than usual.. Certain areas ( or an area ) of the facility seem(s) to be emitting an odd odor and certain members of staff are coughing up a green / yellow liquid. The medical department is tasked with working alongside E11 to quarantine off the area and treat the sick people, they are to constantly be in touch with Site Admin to coordinate an effective quarantine. In the meantime, site staff ( techies ) are tasked with finding the foul odor and opening up the ventilation system and dealing with it appropriately.

Behind the scenes:

I would select a random area of the facility and wait for people to pass by, something with a lot of foot traffic like 1162 / HCZ CP / MTF loop. Then as people pass by, I’d hit them with the ‘effect’ ( i.e. give them a screen prompt ), eventually someone is bound to report it over COMMS that they are feeling ill and ‘begin’ the event. If no one goes for a medical check up and interacts with other people, I’ll progress their mutation stage - I’d start slowly with coughs and skin irritations and later progress to changing their physical colour. If nothing is done about it however, late-stage kicks in and they become aggressive. They are then given either the 9000 or 049-2 SWEP and let loose on the members of the facility. If the medical team is fast with their quarantine they’re given extra time in order to find the cure. I’d make it a combination of some easy-to-acquire surface chemicals which most people will have access to and if not they can send NU7 / DEA to find some or even request GOC to provide them with some. GOC of course could be involved in this too to help with the quarantine.

Please list a Major Event or Map Change idea (Involving all sides and the entire server):

Night market

A travelling market has come to Pinewood and is set up in the DMZ! All are welcome! There is all sorts of stuff being sold - From cakes to weaponry! GOC perform their usual duties of securing the DMZ and making sure everyone is safe while the merchants try to sell their wares - Perhaps they have some more unique guns or tools to sell. Included in the merchant roster is a fortune teller that reads into their crystal ball to predict one’s future. All sorts of events go on for a while before they shut down and go out of town.

Behind the scenes:

I’d need a few more staff members for this one - TL;DR we’d give ourselves unique PACs depending on our task, one for a crazy arms dealer that’d sell stuff you can’t usually get on the server, some WW2 guns or something similar, another being a crazy cook that sells foods with wild side-effects ( giving people temp. speed after they eat from the crate ( GM objective ) - Something like the desert food stall in Stardew ) and of course the titular fortune teller; Of course, players can also join in on the fun and partake as an MC&D and gun dealers or even chefs. We’d place stalls around town and the fortune teller or the cook can take up residence within the Far East house or Eatery. We can announce the event beforehand or mention it in OOC for people to flag on; The fortune teller can roll the dice or spin the wheel on their browser to determine what “fortune” to read out with instant effect. Of course, there’s always room for the free market to flourish like MC&D undercutting some sellers. GOC also needs to be on the lookout for any potential contraband in the merchants’ wares.

What elements can make an event unenjoyable? Include one example, avoiding the typical answers if possible.

I honestly don’t know what the ‘typical answers’ include but personally I think it’s the lack of casual events - There’s a wide variety of interesting and serious events but very rarely do we get something more relaxing. Although that’s not a critique of something unenjoyable, I think it still deserves a mention.

And finally, what do you wish to achieve by becoming a Gamemaster?

One of the things I’d like to do is what I just mentioned. I’d like to bring a more casual and fun feeling to events, focus more on making them more fun, if not outright funny. Not to say that such events don’t exist but I feel like they’re few and far between and focus has shifted on more ‘serious’ events which end up feeling stale and boring - Too much talking and too little action.

Which brings me to my next point, I want to bring some more action into Site-65 and ‘animate’ people more. Give them a reason to move around rather than stand still and talk for a long time - Even if it’s a short / small event, giving people a reason to actually move somewhere instead of stare at the ceiling is one of my priorities, even now without it I encourage it in the form of patrols and similar activities.

I just want to give people something fun to do - From making interesting events to the small yet potent RP enhancements. RP enhancements are something I especially like the idea of and wish I could do lots!

I’d also like to get some repeatable events going, something people can look forward to in the future - namely the ‘night market’ event. It showing up every other week or even just monthly might get players excited for the new edition or give them another opportunity to try the WW2 guns or whatever else they might buy. It’d also serve as an excellent template to try out new unique ideas that aren’t worth doing on their own!

Lastly, I want to help with the workload. I often see ideal roleplay situations that have to be halted and staff has to be called over

Update: Fixed a few issues with the spoilers and added a picture for my warns; fixed some grammatical errors
