What server you were banned on: SCP-RP (USA)

Your in-game name: Diego Singh

Your SteamID: STEAM_0:1:645379828

Ban Reason: FailRP, Fail Raid, Stacked bans

Date of ban: 1/14/26

Who banned you: Charl Varty

Ban length: 10 days

What will you do to stop this from happening again: Reread the rules to clarify the parts I was unsure about.
See below.

Clip:

Why should you be unbanned: I was banned because as a parawatch raiding the base and disguised as an Nu-7. I got a level 2 key card and got a disguise and walked around for a bit exploring and taking pitctures. As I went up the elevator from HCZ I was confronted by another Nu-7 who demanded to see my ID. I showed my ID (fake) and he pulled out his cuffs, I pulled out my gun since it was no longer fearRP and pointed it at him while yelling at him to back up. I walked backwards towards the elevator back down to HCZ to flee, but he pulled out his gun and I began shooting, after shooting a few bullets at him I remembered I was on parawatch and not CI or some other role, so I stopped shooting so I wouldn't kill him (which I otherwise would have done) and instead tried to flee because I shouldn't have shot in the first place as I was non-combative. The admin was spectating me for 15 or so minutes during the entirety of my raid for some reason. The fail raid ban was because I thought the timer started from when you entered the base not as soon as you died or left, and since I had been in the base for a while I went back in after only a couple minutes.

For the FailRP part of the ban I made a simple mistake and forgot I was on parawatch, and did what I could to fix that error by not killing him and fleeing which is what I should have and originally tried to do (before he pulled his gun out) as a non-combative. Even if I purposely meant to start shooting him as a non-compative in a roleplay scenario: I have a gun out to prevent someone from pulling theirs out, and I see the person pull a gun out, so they don't even fear being killed so I'm cooked that person is going to shoot me, it makes sense in RP to shoot, your life is clearly in danger. This also wouldn't have happened if the person didn't break FearRP, I would have just been able to back up into the elevator without a fight. It is difficult to perfectly RP and not failRP at all if the situation I'm in isn't even following correct RP due to the other person breaking multiple rules. I understand I was banned previously for shooting as a non-combative, but it was an honest mistake and have actively been trying to avoid that when I play, I should not be banned for 10 days for this. (Meanwhile the Nu-7 who broke fearRP and metagamed was left unpunished). Also FailRP was the stacked ban part as I've never fail raided.

For the Fail Raiding part of the ban I understand I broke the rules, I didn't know the exact rule and it was a misunderstanding. I will read up on the rules to avoid situations like this in the future. I should mention that the staff member in the sit didn't even know the exact rule either, after he clarified the rule for me, I asked him how long the cooldown was "something like 5 or 10 minutes?", he told me he didn't know and took a second to check the rules and told me it was 15 minutes. I think it's fair to say that if a player can be judged harshly on the exact specifications of rules like this then the staff member should be aware of them as well.

I'm aware I have multiple recent bans for similar things (Shooting as a tech expert, etc), but I've deadass been trying not to failrp, and try to make it right if I do break the rules, however when I have a staff member breathing down my neck and spectating me 24/7 watching my every move it's damn near impossible and only a matter of time before I slip up by accident once or twice. 10 days is overkill for the rules I broke. Situations like this make it difficult to avoid getting banned and get away from the stacked bans, even if I'm trying to not break the rules.

Hello @saarchip ,

In the provided clip, you did in-fact commit FailRP. Not to mention you also mixed, please avoid telling people that you're "lagging" and simply keep that to /looc if need be.

You have been warned and banned enough times to the point that your FailRPs have coagulated into a Class X. (You can see what that means in our punishment guidelines: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1xh2bTjUxxnMOv4i459_e2nZp6DoiM3AXnmFF7FkI5FI/edit?gid=0#gid=0 )

What that means is that you have been punished time and time again but have still failed to grasp the rules. This isn't as simple as staff nitpicking you for every possible rulebreak, these are deliberate RP-affecting actions and they need to stop. The excuse of "I forgot" is no longer valid, you need to pick up the ball and run at this point. I understand some situations may still be foreign to you and I'm sure we can work with you but this situation is blatantly contradictory to basic combative guidelines.

You may re-appeal in 5 days, if you wish to do so.
