What does this suggestion change/add/remove:
My suggestion is to test a replacement to the breach timer by RP breach, giving more roles in the Foundation meaning.
Currently the only RP I see around SCP is when researchers want samples. My suggestion is to replace regular timer based breaching with a potential for RP breaching.

As an example let's take SCP-173. According to the lore, SCP-173 frequently creates a mess in its own CC causing a need for regular cleaning details.

If a cleaning detail consisting of D-Class Janitors and GSD is required to clean the CC, it would cause regular RP interactions that don't revolve around taking samples but are lore consistent.
Furthermore those very cleanup details could serve as the breach window for 173. Server side it could be that for the time of the cleanup, the breach blocker would be disabled so if eye-contact isn't maintained, 173 could breach. SCP-173 could be given a "create mess" weapon similar to the decontamination foam that can be fired once a minute. (time obviously requires balancing).
Alternatively a breach could happen because 173 caused too much of a mess that clogged up the mechanics of the CC and triggered a breach state.

Other SCP RP ideas could be collected and implemented as time passes.

Has something similar been suggested before? If so, why is your suggestion different?:
Different alternative approaches to the current system have been presented, I could not find my particular approach.

Possible Positives of the suggestion (At least 2):
+ Increase in RP opportunities
+ step-wise removal of individual SCP from breach timer whenever RP elements have been tested and can be implemented.

Possible Negatives of the suggestion:
- Chance for abuse if RP isn't taken seriously (i.E. D-Class turning their back to 173 on purpose to cause a breach)

Based on the Positives & Negatives, why should this suggestion be accepted:
I believe a lot of people are unhappy with the current breach timer system for various reasons. Also the amount of experiments conducted by researchers is much smaller than the potential would suggest.
In my opinion any change that could inject more serious RP into the game should be at least discussed.

Suggestion Denied

Hi @Floppywuppet ,

Thanks for taking the time to make a server suggestion.

The Content Team has chosen to deny your suggestion due to the following reason(s):

Content team have looked at your suggestion, and whilst the realism of an SCP being able to breach during containment cleaning makes sense, unfortunately it's not something that we would look to implement due to server health. This sort of system would lead to far more frequent SCP breaches, and would lead to a halt in RP which is not something we want to happen more often than it does already.

As mentioned in other comments, the actual system to clean containment cells does have a ticket logged and is actively being developed which will serve to introduce other roleplay elements once implemented.

Your suggestion will now be locked and marked as denied.
