I have received warns in the past, but last warning I received was in Jun 2024 (If you wish, I can send you picture of these warns in DMs.)

Why are you applying for Security Captain?
I am applying because I believe I am ready to move up to the next position. During my time as a Sergeant, I have been active almost every day. I have led sweeps, taught new cadets, and overall I did my duties. From my perspective, I have performed well and learned enough to be a GSD Captain. I also believe that, most of the time, there are Sergeants available but no Captains, so increasing the number of Captains would only help and cause no harm.

What makes you suitable for Security Captain?:
I’d say I would be a good Captain because I have solid experience with GSD and other departments. I believe I’d be able to lead GSD and help improve it. Since I have a decent understanding of how the rest of the site works, I believe I could improve relations with other departments by coming up with some ideas.



I also know how to talk to others respectfully without being a jerk. This is important because I don’t damage GSD’s reputation by giving people a bad experience or yelling at them. Honestly, I’d say most people like me.



Lastly, I always try to be fair, issuing proper punishment only when it’s deserved.

What are the responsibilities of the Security Captain in RP?:
The GSD Captain has many responsibilities. Because of that, I’ve decided to list what are probably the most important ones.

Manage D-Block
As a Captain, you are expected to manage D-Block. Usually, this means assigning GSD personnel to certain POIs, but it also means overseeing the inner D-Block and ensuring there is little to no contraband. Captains can also authorize work permits for reliable Class-D personnel. If D-Block falls into chaos due to an abnormal number of weapons or because of a Type Blue, the GSD may authorize a sweep and lead it.

Manage GSD
Captains also need to make sure GSD personnel arent doing anything stupid. If they are, the Captain can deal with it by calling ISD, PTing them, or job-banning them. Captains also help scout out potential Sergeants and vote on appointing new Captains. If there are enough GSD online, they may conduct trainings or patrols.

Conduct RRT and HWL Tryouts
They are also expected to host tryouts regularly. GSD Captains are the only way to acquire these licenses.

Documentation
Even though it’s not as important as the other points, Captains may also write documentation. They can write lectures, proposals, or help Chiefs write new handbooks, and so on.
CL4 Duties
This should go without saying, but Captains are also expected to perform CL4 duties, such as closing BDs, reporting info leaks, engaging in RP, representing the department, and so on.

I believe you could expand more on what makes you a suitable Captain as the more information for that is usually better. However your application highlights the main responsibilities of a Captain along with a lore document which is good. And I will say, it doesn't matter how long you've been a Sergeant for as you have pretty good past experience.

I appreciate your support and I know. I’m still relatively new to GSD, but as I mentioned in my application, I feel that I already understand everything I need to know, that’s why I applied in the first place.
