I asked an admin this and they said it's to prevent players from "carrying an arsenal" since autorifleman is one of thsoe jobs that spawn with an LMG + shotgun. This same thing happens on GOC/CI strike team and ERT. It will literally take your auger or m249 for a VHS. I honestly hate this system...

huge -support this would mainly effect CI and not the 008 entities. CI need to do 2 level 5 hacks, 1 to disable decontam and another to get a syringe out of containment if it is down. They need a hostage/NHU to get past first airlock biometrics to begin with and either need to use that hostage...

-support requires overhaul of ancient MilRP plugin. Too much work for too little in return. Use distinct equipment to distinguish. Primary weapon sound if no perma, shield type, additional utility.

+support /mtf would be easy. the CO one would be harder because it would have to go based on rank not job which is how comms works currently. So very much yes to the /mtf option but CO one is more optional since it would be harder to implement and is less necessary but would be nice if possible

I think its supposed to but is just broken at least thats what it feels like. it makes sense for the announcements because right now it just taeks up text on the screen for no reason +support

-support radio is on through deaths it just looks visually off. It's also very simple to change the frequency by typing in the number with MMB. You only need to input the freq once so a bind for the gensec freq isnt necessary. Radio is optimized as hell anyway.

-support roll results are text im pretty sure it travels through walls like just typing in chat. The main use of rolls is interrogation or deathroll gambling. Things that are already done face to face. A cooldown is unnecessary.

-support to everything but the SRU clearance 4 captains on the job at a time is more than enough and so is 2 SCU. They have RPKs and good utility, another slot would make it more unfair for CI and SCPs.
