OPENING DOCUMENT: QWERKY_COS_APPLICATION.txt

Why are you applying for the Chief of Security?
- Currently I am serving in the department as a captain and am enjoying the work I get to do. I wish to further the importance of my work and hold GSD to a higher standard, and to be able to present myself with this opportunity as the leader of the department and assist leadership even further than I am now. Overall, I am happy with what I have achieved and would like to reach new heights within the department.

If my promotion were to come, I would assist in every way I possibly can to make the department the best it can be and would love the opportunity to collaborate with other Sr Cl4 staff to create amazing roleplay for everyone around me.

What makes you suitable for Chief of Security?:
* Responsibility: I understand the importance of the security chief, how much their decisions sway the entire department, and believe I am fit for such.
* Dedication: I believe I have shown promise to this department. I have never done anything that contradicts my mission as a captain and will always keep our staff and department safe and secure.
* Experience: As a captain and member of ISD, I am knowledgeable in the FLC, so I know how to obey and will strive to enforce it within D-Block, and as a captain, I am undergoing even more experience of GSD and understand the impact I have and choosing to do good with it. I understand my role and will not abuse it.
* Willingness to learn/teach: I wish to further what information and experience I have within a role and department I enjoy and would like the elevated opportunity to teach and guide more individuals.
What are the responsibilities of the Chief of Security in RP?:
- Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
* All captain responsibilities
Every responsibility a captain has the chief also entails. Keep people in line, secure D-Block, and teach new members of the department.

* Representing the entire GSD
As chief, your choices, professionalism, respectfulness, and behaviour are what represent all personnel. With your rank, you are the face of GSD.

* Enforcing and keeping D-Block secure
You must ensure all personnel are within their jurisdiction and behave properly. Guide forces around the area, issue correct orders, and keep D-Class in line.

* Working alongside Site Administration to ensure security
As a Sr Cl4, it is your duty to report to SA and work alongside them to ensure security around the site is held at its highest standard.

* Large say in new sergeants and captains
Your decision matters the most when accepting new members part of the leadership team. Make sure you are choosing candidates who are fit for the roles they request.

* Participating and reporting at Sr Cl4 meetings
Doing Sr Cl4 meetings, report anything concerning security around site. Address concerns, make requests for needed changes, and make any important information mentioned.

* Appointing GSD captains to sub-regiments
Appoint your leadership to their respective sub-regiment and ensure they are fit for it. Work alongside the sub-reg leaders for maximum efficiency.

* Working on department documentation
All document within the department must be updated to current Foundation standards and align with the current FLC. Make sure no information is out of date or unclear.

* Supervising the entire GSD department
It is your duty to watch over the department and give feedback to persons and make justful punishments for those violating the FLC or their respective role.

* Ensure relations with other departments is positive
GSD works closely with many departments therefore all relations with them must be positive. If we were on bad terms with a department, we could risk loosing service with them.

Please give some lore about your Chief of Security character and what storylines they would be involved in:

I do not think you have been a captain for more than 2 months, and I think there are many areas where you do not seem particularly well-versed in how the department works or in GSD's primary goal.

The experience you noted in ISD and your knowledge of the FLC is a nice addition, but it really should not be the bulk of what you have done in a department that does not really handle many FLC enforcement cases once you reach higher leadership. Noting that you will not abuse the position should really be a given, especially if you are already a captain. The only other relevant experience that would excuse a lack of experience and commitment to the department would be you being in T&G, but I'm not extremely qualified to speak on that because I genuinely have no fucking idea why sub-regiments pop up every month or what the ranks even mean.

I cannot back up Bill Bank's claim of you being a "hot head" or not knowing where to draw the line, but considering he is literally a d-class main, I think that it does show some of the innards of your particular leadership style. They are annoying men in orange jumpsuits; you really cannot let them get to you, especially if you are clearance 4.

I honestly think that having this position would be more to the tune of ISD/GSD's relationship rather than any particular benefit within GENSEC itself; this really should say the GENSEC handbook and not just general documentation tuning is something that should already be doing within GENSEC.

Same point as the paragraph above ^^^^^

While I do really appreciate more effort being put into work between departments, that should not be the primary goal of the Chief of a department by any measure. I've played for probably over 1000 hours on almost exclusively GENSEC; some of the most memorable things I can recall are good RP between departments in D-block, stipulating that is still extremely important!

If you wish to apply for this position in the future, I would seriously consider showing examples of the work that you have done between departments or even in Gensec to make up for any shortcomings in your time in the department or anything else that has come up. Build up your leadership experience in the coming months and aim for Senior Captain at least before applying, is my advice.

Thank you for your input. While I do recognise that a lot of the things I mention shouldn't be the chiefs primary duty, I do believe it is still an important factor when keeping your GSD members in line as it is important to not have misconduct occuring.

As for T&G, yes I am a member in it.

I understand that I highlighted enforcement over other factors, but my core objectives are to keep GSD in line, improve relations with other departments, and teach/lead the rest of the General Security Department.

-Support I'll be honest your too hot headed at times and you don't know where to draw the line. Your an amazing captain but I do not think you will be a good chief.
The D-Block kidnapping incident says everything.

Not the absolute worst pick, but also not the best.
