Discord name: khnith_hgor01
For how long have you played on CN SCP: 2 years
Age: 23
In what country are you located?: USA
Time zone: MST
Character name(s):
Abchanchu Balor: Foundation
Dakatos Finiri: CI
Aknum Hossam: GOC

Civilian name: Zamun Ziahan
What server are you applying for? (SCP-RP UK or SCP-RP USA):
Do you have a mic?: Yes
-
List all whitelisted, MTF, or CI roles that you hold or have held:
Holding. 096, GSD captain, and 22415
-
Have you received any kicks/bans/warning? and why?:
Yes, I did. Due to me not being in the right mindset and acting immaturely and misbehaving. I have learned from my mistakes and will strive in the path of behaving from now on.
-

Why are you applying for the Chief of Security?
- The reason I want to apply for the Chief of Security is due to me wanting to make a change inside GSD. I see a lot of things I'd like to see improve as GSD Captain, things that I would like to see change; for example, helping the newcomers of GSD understand that it's not right to follow in the footsteps of other misbehaving GSD members and that it's making GSD as a whole look bad. I want to put a stop to that as Chief of Security; I know I can't stop them, but I would guide them away from their current actions, as it would help them better themselves. Another thing I see as a Captain: I see a lot of GSD disobeying orders, and I do my best as Captain, but I am limited; as the Chief, I would sit with each of those GSD one by one and talk to them in a calm and orderly manner, and see why they don't like listening to orders or if they have something going wrong with others or rather do other things we could talk it out.

What makes you suitable for Chief of Security?:
- I feel like I am most suitable for this position due to my demeanor; I am calm during certain situations but can also be stern and loud in other situations. I'd like to think of myself as respectful and kind, not just to GSD personnel but to Foundation Staff as well. I also act maturely during crises and during high-risk situations involving either Foundation Staff or GSD staff. I tend to go around as a Captain from time to time and ask other departments what GENSEC needs to improve on; they give me their take on things, and I write them down and begin working on them with GSD personnel. I would also work on the overall improvement of GSD to make sure everything runs smoothly in the department of GSD.

What are the responsibilities of the Chief of Security in RP?:
- To oversee the entirety of GSD and to make sure everything runs smoothly security wise. Another responsibility of the Chief of Security is to act appropriately during certain situations in the RP stance, acting professionally and responsibly as the Chief of Security, and ensuring GSD personnel don't misbehave and taking appropriate action if they do.

Please give some lore about your Chief of Security character and what storylines they would be involved in:

Abchanchu Balor serves as a Chief of Security within the SCP Foundation. Before his current position, Balor built a reputation as a disciplined and dependable Foundation operative, placing containment, personnel safety, and proper procedure above personal interests.

During a high-risk containment operation involving an unidentified demonic anomaly, the operation suffered a catastrophic breach. Balor was exposed to the anomaly while assisting in the containment effort. Although the anomaly was eventually recontained, the exposure left a permanent mark on him.

Over the following weeks, Balor's body gradually changed. His skin became unnaturally pale, dark markings appeared across parts of his body, his eyes developed an unusual crimson appearance, and horn-like growths emerged from his forehead. Despite his appearance, extensive medical and psychological evaluations found no evidence that he was possessed or under the control of an external entity.

The Foundation eventually classified his condition as a stable anomalous mutation. Balor remains mentally sound, loyal to the Foundation, and capable of performing his duties. His physical changes do not grant him enhanced strength, supernatural combat abilities, reality manipulation, or other powers. They are primarily a permanent reminder of his encounter with the anomaly.

Following his transformation, Balor began developing an extensive understanding of the occult. Over time, he studied ancient and modern demonic symbols, sigils, rituals, and other occult practices. His unusual experience gave him a strong interest in understanding the types of threats that had changed him.

Balor is capable of recognizing, interpreting, and using certain demonic sigils for beneficial purposes, such as protective markings, warding, containment support, and counter-occult operations. He does not worship or serve demonic entities, nor does he use this knowledge for personal power. Any use of sigils is handled responsibly and within Foundation procedures, with their effects and limitations determined through roleplay and server administration.

As Chief of Security, Balor's primary responsibility is the protection of Foundation personnel and the maintenance of order during routine operations, security incidents, containment breaches, and other emergencies. His past experience has made him particularly interested in ensuring that dangerous anomalies are treated seriously and that personnel are properly prepared for threats they may not fully understand.

Potential Storylines

Occult Containment Incidents
Balor may become involved when the Foundation discovers demonic symbols, suspicious rituals, cursed objects, or other occult-related anomalies. His knowledge allows him to assist with identifying potential threats and determining how Security personnel can safely respond.

Using Darkness Against Itself
A recurring part of Balor's character is his belief that knowledge of dangerous things can be used to protect others. This creates opportunities for him to work with other departments to investigate occult threats while constantly having to ensure that his knowledge and methods remain under Foundation control.

I'm going to be honest, we are widely known as the minge department; we have been known for 5 years as basically the minge department. With all of the improvements I've seen to the department ic/ooc over my tenure here, I have not really seen this addressed directly in an application that shows there is a problem. I really do appreciate your insight on the problem.

With all of that said, I think that alone is not an extremely strong reason by itself to want to become chief. There are a dozen interdepartmental problems as well as, more commonly, internal rank-based disputes that involve CL3-CL4 Gensec. As a former chief, dealing with clearance 1 persons who have less than 2 hours on the server minging is only a small fraction of what I have to be dealing with. The rest of your application reads more like a good list of qualifications for tactical leadership, which is good for being a strong captain, but less of the logistical know-how that is required to be a strong Chief .

You have been here for a good amount of time so I think if you could edit your application, you could give a lot stronger examples of the other work you have done and wish to do in the department logistically as EPU Sr. Team Leader (I don't know what that is but it sounds important ig). I don't think I've ever seen you on site, despite us being in very close time zones; I think it would also be useful to your application to mark which hours you tend to play so people that see you onsite during those hours can know to reply if they wish to do so.

Good luck, and with some edits, I believe you have a strong chance at furthering yourself in the department, even if you don't get the role this cycle around.

You've earned my respect when I worked alongside you and I feel you would be one of the applicants who would shape GSD for the better. You show the qualities I look for in a chief and I wish you nothing but the best!
