Host Error: Could not generate hash of the map

Despite being a GAMER, I'm not smart when it comes to... anything computers. I'm trying to join the server for the first time and I'm getting this error. As far as I can tell the other addons aren't having issues. I'm also aware of the file provided if I can't download the map in-game, I just don't know where to put it. If anyone has a solution I would very much appreciate it

Still happening unfortunately. If I set my downloads to only maps it works, but then I'm left with a ton of errors and missing textures regardless of if I have the content pack or not
EDIT: I wanna mention most of the errors and missing textures are the seasonal items, but the most notable non-seasonal ones so far have been weapons and what I assume are keycards.

What he said. Deleting the map and rejoining will indeed fix it a majority of the time.
Another troubleshooting solution would either be the redownloading GMOD or verifying your game files.

As for it not working in your case and/or the usage of "Only allow map files" as it's fix, you may need to download the server's content pack. Which can be found here.

If the seasonal items, weapons and keycards are not appearing for you. It may be an issue of those items not being in the pack but instead being automatic downloaded server content.
