What does this suggestion change/add/remove:
Add a chat message when blindfolding/gagging somebody like seen below:

Has something similar been suggested before? If so, why is your suggestion different?:

Possible Positives of the suggestion (At least 2):
Tech Experts or others, ungagging hostages can be properly dealt with IC/OOC
If somebody is spamming the blindfold on D-Class or hostages, you can see who it is so you can tell them to get out.

Possible Negatives of the suggestion:
I can't think of any icl.
Indirect CI nerf or something?

Based on the Positives & Negatives, why should this suggestion be accepted:
Logically, you should be able to see who is doing these things, and the fact that there's no animation or text prompt to say who does this is kinda dumb.

If at all possible. This would also greatly help with situations where someone could ungag a hostage when they're not supposed to and they use the window to cyanide - That way in cases where there are a lot of people around the hostage, you can easily figure out who did it.

This also disincentivises people from doing this as it'd be pretty much impossible to get away with it.

There's also be a lot less confusion if someone on the same faction as the hostage does it as a kind of last-ditch effort to ensure CI or whoever no longer has the hostage, so that you know that it was an enemy faction, and not someone on your team FailRPing, etc.

I realise that these are somewhat niche examples, but the more you think about the things this affects, the more you realise just simply how much benefit this change would have.

I disagree with this being a CI nerf. If anything, I see this being pretty helpful to them. Especially in the situation above with people ungagging hostages when they shouldn't, like imagine if you have a complete gremlin of an Alpha that keeps ungagging the hostages. Would make it so much easier to deal with them if they're consistently able to do it amidst a big group.

Thanks for taking the time to make a server suggestion.

The Content Team has chosen to deny your suggestion due to the following reason(s):

There are concerns that a system like this could quite easily be spammed, leading to chat being flooded with people toggling blindfolds / gags. This then creates more logs and more data to store, which we do not want.

If someone is gagging / blindfolding people to disrupt RP, then a staff member should be called who can deal with it there and then.

Your suggestion will now be locked and marked as denied.​
